If it’s same deal I’m on you get paid in mystery tours and the occasional cruzcampo And the occasional edit of an email I send to my useless twat solicitors in Scotland where he removes the words “****ing, useless, ****s” and it takes it from 3000 words to about 80
Agree moving stadium is clearly the preferred option so people need to be ready for that Again its all to vague and not really enough information or options though! Would you move stadium for twice the revenue or stay at SJP if it's all shiny is a ****ing nonsense. Will they listen to the fans if they see a chance to double the revenue... I seriously doubt it in all honesty. When the time comes for the fans to have an input there needs to be more information at a minimum and preferably more options: Option 1) Would you move to Ponteland for a 65k seater stadium and 60% increase in revenue? - **** no. Option 2) Would you go to the Utilita Arena site for 60k and 20% increase in revenue - No. Option 3) Would you go to Whitley Bay for 80k and 75% increase in revenue - Maybe. Option 4) Would you go to other end of Leaze Park for 100k and 100% increase in revenue - Absolutely. Option 5) Stay as SJP, expand to 65k and increase revenue by 30% - If option 4 isn't available then yes.
It might be but what other example option would you go for? Corporate is where the big bucks come from, they don't want to add another level 7 tier of cheap seats for the kids/families.
I’d keep it as it is personally. 2nd option would be new stadium. Ideally packing all existing st holders together so we don’t have to put up with all the fanny’s out for a day if making tik tok videos or you tube content.
Let's be honest it's always going to be a new stadium, but they are making it sound like they're being sensitive to the people attached to some concrete and scaffolding.
There was a bloke got lamped when I was there because he was recording the incident when a fan needed an ambulance... Think it was the Tottenham game. Got lamped by a Neanderthal and then scurried down the exit holding the railings.
I still reckon it will be the Pitt street site. Far easier than leazes park. I also reckon they’ll break ground on it next year or year after at latest.
The bloke said something about reaching the end of the Briefing phase, so that means someone somewhere will be making a decision fairly soon. It sounds like they'll consult the fans again first..... I get the impression the fans understand that if they want to compete they need more revenue, so surely they will go for it ? The only problem is that plenty simply do not understand they can't have it all without sacrifice.... unless they don't want to challenge and just want to stay the same.
Moving from SJP would be a very bad idea. It would be just another soulless bowl full of tourists and corporate twats. I just do not understand the fascination behind habing an NFLesque stadium. I could not give a **** about fancy facilities. I am there to watch a game of football. As for increased capacity - 65k is our ceiling.
It would also mean not decreasing the stadium capacity whilst the other one is being built or not having to play our home games away to some far out city / town
Do you want to win something ? Last time was 1969 and other clubs are moving into a new era with Newcastle already behind. Newcastle need more revenue mate. You sound like an old fart complaining about missing the sound of crackling on record players .... we need to roll with the times.
Sorry mate but you are thinking small time. as for our ceiling... with a better team on the pitch the corporates and the tourists will flock in = lots more income = better players
A new stadium will mean double ticket prices for everyone. What happens when any future success ends? The plastics will move on and we'll play in a half empty ground. We aren't and never will be a club that attracts gates of 80k plus.
