League form: DWWWLL. Ref: John Brooks. VAR: Michael Salisbury. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
On a losing streak you say? Then step right this way, as here at Dr Tottenham Hotspur, we cure all your problems instantaneously!
Before even analysing the game, you’ve got to think law of averages means extremely unlikely city will lose 5 in a row even with our okay record against them. I guess the table being so tight means that a loss here doesn’t do to much damage and so many games coming up that there’ll be plenty of chances to rectify it. Hopefully VDV back as can’t see us seeing Romero now till March as he won’t want to risk missing another international break!
A loss here means 6 defeats from 12 games and likely to end the weekend in the bottom half of the table. I shared a table of the league in another thread over the last 38 games and Spurs have taken less points then Man Utd (who apparently are in crisis) Spurs need to go on a long unbeaten run at some point, can’t keep losing every another game like this and expect to win a cup or finish top 6
Sounds like van de Ven is still a couple weeks away and some reports reckon Romero won’t be fit either for this one after the injury for Argentina. Potentially the second time in a row we’ll be going to the Etihad without our first choice CBs lol.
The way Romero has been playing, does it really make a difference being that looks like city will have a load of players back. Maybe a bit more no nonsense defending wirh Davies in and Dragusin on the right might not be a bad thing.
Confirmed that Romero is out , looks like it will be a battle of the man buns between Dragusin and Shrek
Add in: Van de Ven out for 2-3 more weeks. Odobert to miss a fair chunk of the season. Richarlison likely out til New Year. Moore still out (what ****ing virus did he get?!). You know what that means though, ladies and gents? We get more Werner! Woohoooo.
Absolute disgrace that he travelled with Argentina while carrying an injury. Lo Celso used to do it too.
