I binned them off after 18 years recently. Gone to Hull Fibre via MS3 and it is very good, the service was excellent and I am paying half the price for 1000mbps as opposed to 500mbps with Kcom. I rang kcom to let them know I was moving and that as I am free of contract now could they do me a good deal on the new property. I pointed out that I had seen a £39.99 a month deal for new customers on their website. She told me it was for new customers only. I asked her if my 18 years loyalty was enough to get the deal for my new house only to be told that would not be possible. I weas passed onto a bloke who told me I could have a 'special' price of £59.99. I will let you imagine my resoponse.
Beebu didnt turn up on the day they said they would so I rang MS3 kicking off (they put me onto Beebu) and they were great to be fair. Had Hull Fibre come out within 3 days and install because I ahd waited 2 weeks for Beebu and they had not even told me it was cancelled. Cant recommend Hull Fibre enough, the installation guy was brilliant too and sorted a feed to my office 60 metres down the garden with no extra cost (I had the cable).
The road is upto that point 40mph, if the sign reducing the limit to 30mph is obscured how are you supposed to know? In an update to the complaint to MS3 they came back and claimed the 30mph sign had been turned to face the footpath (?) and that's why the post is in front of the sign and that I should contact the council to get them to move the sign. I sent more pictures to MS3 from the road (a drivers eye view) showing how their post obscured the speed limit sign, they came back and said since that post was installed over 1 year ago the limit on time to object has expired. (why didn't they say that in the beginning?) Not sure if I can can be arsed to bother anymore, if its been like that for over a year loads of police and council workers must have seen it, if they don't care why should I?
If its a change from 40 to 30 then there should be one at the other side of the road too. If the police and council don't care you probably have your answer. It's not a massive issue. People drive like dicks all over the city, speeding onto roundabouts, braking last seconds at crossings, shooting red lights, hopefully this will catch a few of them out.
Need help from you good Ladies and Gents please. Wheres the best place to go to buy a phone for cash, no deals or crap like that, just to buy the phone outright?
I had something similar a few months back. I'd rang them with a couple of days left on my existing discounted contract to see what they could do for re-signing up. They said no discounts and that offers are for new customers. I called again once my contract was officially up, and they found me a discount, although it was still a couple of quid a month more than the price for a brand new customer. Still saved nearly 20pm though
If you want a new current model phone, you pay a lot more doing it like that. Local market or Facebook marketplace is probably the best place to look if you’re wanting to pay in cash.
Oh yeh Walton Street market or Facebook market place if you want a phone already loaded with (someone else's) phone contacts. Buying the phone outright and then doing a sim only deal is the way I do it. Is carphone warehouse still on the go? or supermarkets (tesco, Asda) will often have cheap new boxed phones, even better if you have a store loyalty card.
We switched to Hull Fibre months ago, no problems whatsoever and cheaper than KCOM. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
They told me to get my wife to ring up as she would be classed as a new customer in a new address. I politely suggested they rethink that policy and went elsewhere. Miles cheaper and I don't have to have a landline I don't need or want. Never had issues with their Internet service but they seem to have misjudged the threat of other options and are not handling it well
I did manage to have a fair few quid discount with Kcom. But, reading all the other replies I am amazed they are not being a tad more aggresive with their pricing. Looking at the new pole opposite me, about half a dozen of my neighbours have moved supplier.
Waste of time, I did one years ago and it was as hard-hitting as an insult from Vern. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Last one I did was great, it was online so I sat with the laptop directly in front of the tv and watched a premier league early kick off whilst I did it!
Yeah same where we have just moved too, neighbours both sides and a couple across the road are all on the MS3 pole.
Yes, I've done 2, the online one was useless, the face to face was a bit more demanding simply because you're face to face. It was on these courses I learnt that when the speed limit goes from 40 to 30 there should be 30 signs on both sides of the road, hence my initial observation!
I know someone who got detention for too much questioning of teacher and not taking it seriously. Held back after class and told he needed to behave in class and not be disruptive.
I recently switched from EE to 3 because the pricing was **** considering I was a long term customer. So i've got a sim only with 3 but my phones going on the blink, after a couple minutes talking it switches itself off which it never used to do.
