I saw an advert for 20% off the third strip on the SAFC website and as I have two Grandchildren who are mad supporters and season ticket holders . Being in the vicinity of the SOL I called in to the club shop but was told it was for online purchases only , I have bought from the online store but encountered problems so it made sense to buy them at the store which I did . This episode got me thinking about other supporters who don’t have access to the internet and can’t take advantage of any special offers , I therefore suggest that it would be fairer if offers were available at both the store and online .what does everyone else think ?

Should replicate the discount in the store I reckon.

I'm much more likely to pick up a few little things if I'm in store. Done it loads of times in the club shop, ended up buying key rings or a pencil for the kids etc.

They used to give 10% discount in store for season tickets but that ended last season I think. Don`t think that`s fair at all to loyal supporters, it`s a shame that they have got so much right this season but have withdrawn this perk.
No wonder people buy cheaper copies or from dodgy outlets, the kits are not cheap after all and as you say not everyone has access to, or is able to use the internet.
Entice people into the shop and they are more likely to spend more on impulse buys.

Agree there, I don’t see much of a reason for them not to either

Only thing I would say is the shop, stock, kits etc. are much better in my opinion, that costs a bit of money. I can see the counter argument as well mind. They've got some nice stuff going on and a shop that opens with decent staff in it. Website is better too, can't try stuff on in a website though! 10% for Scs in club shop would be good imo but might be **** shop with 10% off or properly run thing with no discount outsourced to people who know what they're doing.

I'm boring myself now sorry :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Is there anyone left on this earth who doesn't have access to the internet?

My biggest gripe is the stock availability. The all weather jacket was on sale when the shop opened but I held back ordering online as I wanted my one-off 10% discount to cover my coat, tracksuit top and 2 homes and 2 aways. The homes and aways weren't available at the same time... and when I did order the homes, the all weather coat was sold out... they then offered me another 10% discount online after my first order.... bastards

Got my 2 aways later... but the all weather coat has never come back in stock

    Rant over

Aye it's frustrating like. I think a lot of it is down to them making stuff people want to buy and more general enthusiasm for the club with such a likeable team and some good football on show. I wanted one of the red sweatshirts with black arms that look like the thunderbirds designed it but by the time I got down to the shop and tried one on they only has small and XXXl. Sad times, hopefully get another chance, would love one<wah>

Costs a lot more to run a physical store than a depot for online.

It has and always will be that way unfortunately.
