What questions this story raised in my head was about who picked the team? And how senior management treats people. Munez being overruled on team selection, I never thought those sort of rumours over the years to be true. With this one, it appears particularly spiteful and disrespectful, aimed intentionally to rile Deeney, which it obviously did and achieved its objective.
He definitely uses the podcasts to say what he thinks - maybe without thinking it through first !
