    Illogical.

    Russia could destroy Ukraine today.

It gets lost pretty much every night when Russia sends over hundreds of missiles and drones mate.

With nukes? If they try that they'll:

    1. Get fallout all over russia
    2. Turned into glass by the West

Which is why their nuclear threats are noncesense.

He’s openly admitted that it was to avoid inheritance tax. Not sure he’s helping genuine farmers with his input.

Yet you think Trump will let them "destroy Ukraine"

    Make your mind up

US isn't launching nukes for Ukraine in any scenario

Got a lot of sympathy for 'generational farmers'

    ... but

    - why should anybody be wholly exempt from IHT?

Take my own situation - grew up on the Saffron Lane in Leicester (not the most salubrious) - first of my family to go to University - worked from 1984 and still working - done well enough to buy 2 homes (ex-wife got the first as part of the divorce) - one we live in now will be subject to Inheritance tax after the later of me or the missus pop our clogs - with a 40% IHT rate the kids would likely need to sell the house to meet the IHT bill - so why should farmers be treated differently - escape the IHT burden?

Well - because many don't actually make huge profits (despite being asset rich) and the country needs food - so I do believe some concessions need to be made - but these need to be targeted to generational farmers and not the many already rich ****s who 'invested' in agricultural land purposefully to dodge IHT ...

So here is the simple solution - if the agricultural land has been in your family for over 45 years then you get a 0% IHT bill on passing the farm on to your kids... with the proviso that the intention is for farming to continue ...

Why 45 years? - because you then catch all the rich ****s that were able to dodge IHT by deliberately putting their money into agricultural land after Thatcher brought in this loophole for the benefit of rich Tories ...

For those that took advantage of Thatcher's loophole there should be a sliding scale of IHT depending on whether what they bought is still being farmed on to the same or a bigger scale than when they bought it ... if so you get more favourable IHT rates - if this is done sensibly then 'tenant farmers' livelihood could also be safeguarded ... but you'd also catch the ****s that have solely bought the agricultural property to dodge the IHT they would otherwise have had to pay when dying - just like the rest of us have to ...

They threaten nukes every other week.

    They will not fire nukes.

Ukraine firing missiles at ammo depots, airfields and troop concentrations in russian territory will not cause WW3.

    You're so ****ing desperate <laugh>

Yes. Trump will most likely stop all US aid and block allies from sending aid.

This will slowly allow russia to advance.

They cannot destroy them today unless they fire loads of nukes. They've thrown everything they had at Ukraine for 3 years and failed horrendously.

If they nuke Ukraine before the orange rapist takes charge then NATO will respond, either by destroying russia's military or nuking them back.

I didn't bring up Nukes, that was you.

WW3 would be a step by step progress.

The first step is NATO allowing these attacks to happen.

The next is the Russian response

    Then NATO, etc

The final step is civilisation killers

Nobody wants one of those aimed at their capital over Ukraine

Logically deterrence would be to immediately nuke a part of Ukraine so those steps are not taken, NATO is then not involved directly and Russia prove their willingness

    Hope not

You said russia could destroy Ukraine today.

    They've tried. They failed.

russia threatens with nukes every time one of their fictional red lines are crossed. They're full of ****.

You just want Ukrainians to die because you love russia.

    It's ****ing weird.

russia won't nuke anyone. That's the whole point of MAD. If Ukraine falls then the EU are next (Moldova will probably be taken out first).

That'll cost a lot more than giving Ukrainians weapons to defend themselves. We took their nukes away, we promised to defend them, it's the right thing to do.

Do you think the farmer could plough a field in a Ford Fiesta but wants to look flash or the tractor is an important expensive tool that he has to buy ?

He could buy a second hand tractor, obviously he can afford a new one, so he can afford to pay tax, like the rest of us.
