Great to see our good form continuing into this match, looks like the Fulham game was down to fatigue rather than loss of form.
I think our run of good form has instilled confidence in the team, we now look like we 'expect' to win and 'expect' to have the ball. That's a positive thing, we've got fight in us. Thought Gervinho should have gone down with that one on one with the keeper just then.....
Nice and solid. Hopefully we can pick them off in the 2nd half and get a few more. Arteta has been bossing this game. One of his best yet.
We need to remember that games are 90mins and concentrate until the final whistle, but on that form in the first half, we should be able to score again in the second half.
Urggh, the commentator is so annoying (not sure if it is Gary Birttles, I'm using a firstrowsport link). In his point of view, the only reason Wigan are losing is because they are playing 1 player uptop and 'coz Al Habsi is having a mare in goal. We're squeezing the game and dominating midfield, if they brought on another striker I doubt it would have much effect! Infact, they'd have one less body in midfield so things could get worse. Plus, Al Habsi has made 1 great save and stopped Gervinho from going around him so yes, the Arteta shot didn't cover himself in glory, but he has stopped other chances. Can't they just admit that we have been solid?
Fine first half. I hope we have learnt from our previous experiences and can now go on to kill the game off.
