Tesla Motors have been making a profit since 2020. Period to this regulatory credits were sold and the return invested in innovation.

Not how I read it but I'm not starting an argument, life's too short.

That links to something that 'grinds my gears' (wrong thread?). At times it's like people (in power and in the general public), feel obliged to disagree with anything and everything the opposite think. It's madness. Oh for people to simply say 'yep, that makes sense', 'I support that', irrespective of what side it comes from. It's absolutely not about being 'middle ground' or 'moderate', as you say, that totally misses the point, it's about recognising and accepting sense no matter where it comes from rather than playing sides. This stupidity holds back this country no end.

I get where you're coming from:emoticon-0148-yes:I'm in no way averse to praising or recognising something that would help us all, even if that meant praising those I consider to be on the opposite side of the political spectrum.Since the change of government if I've saw something in a policy or suggestion that appeals to me I've nodded at the Mrs and said 'yep, that makes sense'...

Few and far between though as I'm sure those from the opposite side of the fence were pre July.

Let's face it,there's a huge gap developed between our political parties,a hateful, toxic mess, which in turn has more or less split a nation in 2.

That is an appalling indictment on those we choose to represent us from whatever side we choose to look from...We live in dangerous times and it's time our leaders found some common ground for the better of us all...

There’s a growing band of decent posters on Bluesky so my timeline is becoming more enjoyable/readable.

I like George Elek & Allie Maxwell from the Not the Top 20 pod. Tigerbase, Opta, No Score Draws, The Second Tier, Football Ramble, Who Scored, Footy Scran, Andy Brassell, Fabrizio Romano, Tiger Tube & a load of other decent content now over there. Just need Hull City and I’m good!

I’m interested to know why so many leaving X at the moment are going to BlueSky rather than Threads, which already has over £200m members?

Its all about the algorithms. Bluesky has one which makes your timeline feel more personalised. Threads just seems to have a timeline which is all over the place.

Musks algorithm is all about him and his pals, bots, porn and paid for right-wing blue ticks.

I thought that was probably the case, BlueSky has clearly been set up to be exactly as Twitter was.

My business page auto-post everything to Instagram, Facebook and Threads and I’ve really paid much attention to Threads, but I’ve just noticed I’ve got over 2,500 followers.

I've got no followers anywhere, there's hope for the planet yet. :emoticon-0138-think

Threads feels like influencers or people trying to be influencers asking people questions to get as much engagement as possible.

Not sure if it’s just my algorithms but it’s a bit of a mess. BlueSky feels much easier to tailor.

Just looked at threads and I’ve got…

    Hull City kits
    Dummy Outdoors (knot tying)
    Japan nightlife

Some relevant stuff followed by random posts. Bluesky just seems to be specifically people I follow right now.

I also spent most of my time on X blocking the obvious female bots that were following thousands of accounts but had less than 5 followers themselves and were only a few months old.

Bluesky is basically designed to be Twitter from a couple of years ago which is why it seems to be taking off.....there will be people on all sides of the political / footballing spectrums and arguments will follow, but if it's moderated like Twitter used to be then it'll work. It's only since Musk came in and took a hatchet to all the teams who used to moderate and let the bots and adverts run wild that it went to the dogs.

If you suspend your X account you have 30 days before it’s permanently deleted. There’s not a chance companies like the Guardian will risk that, they have more followers on X than Bluesky has users.

In which case, no one’s actually leaving X, they’re just not posting for bit out of protest, and when their engagement drops off a cliff they’ll come back.
