I wonder what the cause of that is though? Maybe not everyone who would otherwise go can attend at that particular time, for some reason?
Mid week evenings is sheep sha,,,,, oops, sheep shearing time? ! Floodlights give too much exposure of the dark arts
Appropriate response or world's gone mad? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c86q570vw6xo I'm away to hit the Mail Online's comment section.
thought about this and its maybe just 7 games can feel very harsh, but he can still play in european games some will say, son accepted his apology which is fine but theres def a lot of internal and exteranl pressure inside a football club for a player to 'accept' an apology plus a lot of asian racism does go unchecked this has taken the decision out of sons hands, and the fa board have made a decision i support it
Hmm, his comment was dumb and demonstrates the sort of casual racism that people expect to get away with because 'they didn't mean it', and it does need to stop. The fine and the ban won't really hurt him but it might help him think a bit before opening his mouth. What I do find dumb is that he can still play European games. Why can't the ban be cross-party, as it were...
World gone mad. 7 match ban for crying out loud. Barking, bonkers mad. Let's all be offended on behalf of Son. Wonder what Asians (insert any other nationality) say about us? It's a fact that, to Western Europeans, many Koreans, Chinese, Japanese, etc do look very similar. Just as we look very, err, white. It's a harmless joke. A throw away comment. Should he have said it? Maybe, maybe not. But it's absolutely nothing like proper racial abuse (which has no place). It's hardly hurtful, nasty, said out of hatred, meant to offend, or whatever. And before the pile on, note the irony of the fact that I got absolutely slated by some, and for days, for saying how pitiful it is that grown men, often with part of their family with them, stand there chanting "****er" and throwing ****er signs at a young player. Now that is abusive (and beyond sad).
Agreed,in hindsight he probably wishes he hadn't said it but he recognises his error and has apologised... 7 game ban for a minor error that he corrected...Bonkers!!
'A complex case', taking out any comments she may have made it's simple. If transgenders want to partake in sport they should organise their own competitions. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
There is hope for all those on here who fancy themselfs as a footballer. The case has highlighted the FA's policy of allowing players who are biologically male, but identify as female aged 16 or older, to play in the women's game.
