Looks like more wriggle room was the right call. We'll be able to flex a little more, spend a little better, and grow a little faster. However, enough time has been spent for the other clubs to whisper in each others ear and do exactly the same. So we have probably just about got near the spending capacity of Villa and maybe the tail end of Spurs, but we will remain at arms length from the other 5 for probably ever. That said, the league has flattened a lot, not a lot to call between 3rd and 11th, so it's hopefully getting more competitive.
Assuming these new rules are not challenged. We are about to get a game changing sponso deal. Aramco would be my bet.
Me dad used to listen to this all the time.. everyone seems to roll with money for nothing but I prefer this one.
Forgot that and then my mind jumped to Don't you forget about me... simple minds. Music is all **** now
We will probably never be successful in a vote on this but there might be a better chance this time I suppose. There's 4 clubs at the top and most the bottom half that will always vote us into oblivion because it will cost them directly by making their aims more difficult if Newcastle can spend big. City Chelsea Newcastle are probably the only 3 that will vote against the new rules... if we're lucky villa Everton Forest and Leicester but it's only going to take 1 to say ok and we're ****ed.
It's more likely 1 will go the other way than all 7 voting against and that's the issue. The vote will always be stacked against on anything that might pull down the drawbridge
