My sat nav tries to get me to flirt with them. I reckon I could make it's eyes water, but it doesn't elaborate on how I'm supposed to make a Ewe turn.

Has the recent budget made much of an impact, either negatively or positively?

I should know about this stuff really. When my kids ask me questions about economics, my mind goes blank. I'm up on medieval matters, birds, music, football and 80s film and TV, just not modern politics. I'll try harder in future.

Too early to say. It's not made things worse and it's aimed at improving services in the country. It's not a magical budget, the situation was pretty ****ed, but it's a step in the right direction.

The UK's is quite liable to be even more expensive.

Utterly shocking findings from@demo_demo_nl who examined the economic impact of immigration on the Netherlands in his new book:

-immigrants from West contributed on average each year €700 -non-West immigrants COST on average €11,000

-to cover cost of ONE non-Western migrant 7 natives needed

-20% of migrant contribute, 80% are net cost to the treasury

-immigrants from Africa & Middle East cost most + asylum seekers -between 1995-2024 immigration cost the Dutch £700 BILLION

    And in Denmark, the same.

I thought mass immigration was good for the economy. That's what I was told.

We need people to work here, there are too many old ****s that need their pensions paying.

The ideal solution was letting young Europeans come work here for a few years then go back home. Apparently that was unacceptable.

Asylum seekers are not allowed to work until their cases are processed and they obtain the proper documentation. The Tories created a backlog on purpose to make a few of their friends rich (inflated hotel rates, that ****ty prison ferry, etc...) and make the gammoney members of society froth at the mouth.

There are lots of jobs the feckless unemployed lot here (see this forum for example) refuse to do. Someone has to do those jobs. What's your solution?

PS: It's not 'mass' immigration, just immigration

With 750k coming here in one year, I'd say that is most definitely mass immigration. We literally have a mass of people arriving every year, meaning there is no other way to describe it. There will be many fantastic people coming here and we should welcome and treasure them.

Get our own feckless to do the jobs or face serious sanctions. It's time to get tough.

Sling out all foreign criminals and those sitting on benefits. We shouldn't be subsidising immigration - it should pay for itself. Not every immigrant is working and paying taxes, so why the hell should we be financing them to sit about doing nothing? It makes a mockery of those who do everything the right way.

Sort the wheat from the chaff and start saying no for a change. It's pretty simple really.

P.S) Most of the 'old ****s' you mention spent a lifetime contributing and paying their dues, so why shouldn't they be looked after in their dotage. Or should we euthanise them in favour of our latest arrivals?

The tired argument that we need millions of migrants to boost the economy is a remainer trope, a myth.

Pretty much all migrants legal or illegal other than those from yellow Asia & Western countries are a net drain.
Still simpletons repeat this lie as a credible excuse to turn every nice little English town into Birmingham or Bradford.

That's before you take into consideration the disproportionate amount of crime our guests commit .

    How many is enough ?

The old ****s generally voted for us to be in this situation.

That 750k you quoted isn't just people moving here to live/claim benefits, it also includes students. As I said before, you can't just move here on a Visa and claim benefits (unless you're of pension age and a family member).

Asylum is a different story, but the numbers are way lower. Labour are working through the backlog, but I don't want to live in a country that refuses asylum for desperate people. I'm fine with deporting people that take the piss, never claimed to be against it.

India and China are 2 of the main countries people move here from. That'll mostly be students and rich/educated people, visas + moving here cost a fortune.

That's a pretty disgraceful way to describe the aged. Will you not be an old **** one day, needing a pension and some care?

No one should be coming here to claim a pension or benefits, but it does happen too much. We do not need people to join the dole queue. We need upwardly mobile migrants who have a plan to contribute in a positive way. There are simply too many taking the piss. Get rid. Now.

This country cannot sustain the current levels. Asylum to the desperate, yes indeed. But not migrants who have nothing to offer but crime and degradation. I'm all for people who want to contribute to our great nation. Those who wish us harm should be forced out. Like I said before, there are many, many decent, law-abiding migrants who must be appreciated.

Imagine having so much hatred & vitriol for elderly English people that have built this country & paid for it's upkeep before retirement.

    Old ****s .

Pretty much sums up the entitled sociopathic spiteful nature of the tolerant left .

Most EU members regularly flaunt the rules. The French and the Germans get away with ignoring Brussels edicts on a regular basis.

For some reason we still bother with judgements handed down by the European Court of Human Rights when half the countries in Europe just ignore them. When was the last time that Russia accepted a ruling? Russia is only second on the list of countries that have not implemented ECHR rulings: Italy is way out in the lead. The waiting list to get a case heard is longer than the waiting list for the NHS. Sir Keith Stalin used to be there on a regular basis fighting for deranged Lefties.

<laugh> You're taking the old ****s thing too seriously.

As I've said before, you can't come here from a foreign country on a visa and claim benefits straight away.

No farmers in the Labour-voting bits of the country like London and Manchester, so safe to tax them:
    HRR_Image_2.jpg

After Brexit, we could have just subsidised our own farmers (cheaper than subsidising the whole of Europe’s farmers). I do seem to recall that somebody (probably Boris) reckoned that was going to happen.
