Ecuadorian international Marco Angulo sadly passed away in a car accident last night, at the age of 22.
Very good actor. Really enjoyed his series Great Canal Journeys with his wife Prunella Scales who by then was suffering with dementia. Interesting, inspiring and moving.
They're on U at the minute and I've watched them again. Sad, as you could see she was struggling with her dementia, and I thought she'd go before him. RIP.
The footballer John Dempsey, who has died aged 78, was an uncompromising central defender with Chelsea when they won the FA Cup in 1970 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1971. Although most accustomed to clearing out attackers and winning balls with his aerial power, Dempsey made significant attacking interventions in both those triumphs, in particular during the European Cup Winners’ Cup final replay in Athens against Real Madrid, when on a rare excursion into the opposition penalty box he came up with a crisply struck volley from 12 yards to set Chelsea on the way to a 2-1 victory.

Sorry to hear this news Tickton and deepest condolences. Coincidentally I took my father to his one and only City game at that very game and was in the north stand behind the goal, he lasted 20 minutes and went home, he couldn't stand being in crowds, hence his leaving. My father died in 1976 nearly 50 years ago, so I guess at least your father had a long life. Nevertheless, whatever their age, it is always sad when it happens. RIP Ken.
Most people probably won't have heard of him, but radio presenter Howard Hughes has passed away today. He had one of the finest voices on radio, most recently he was on Talkradio / TalkTV on Sunday evenings with his Unexplained radio show and podcast. Previously he worked on Chris Tarrant's breakfast show. RIP Howard.
Former Labour deputy prime minister John Prescott has died aged 86, following a battle with Alzheimer's, his family has announced. The former political giant served as MP for Kingston upon Hull East for 40 years and was a key part of New Labour under Sir Tony Blair. His family said he had "spent his life trying to improve the lives of others, fighting for social justice and protecting the environment". A former trade union activist and ex-merchant seaman, Lord Prescott died peacefully, surrounded by relatives at his care home. In a statement released after his death, his wife Pauline and sons Johnathan and David said that representing the people of Hull had been his "greatest honour". They said: "We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John Prescott, passed away peacefully yesterday at the age of 86.
Lord Hague said that John and he was proud Yorkshiremen from Rotherham, hey? He wasn't even from 'Ull, he was a Welshman. If you're giving a tribute you'd think you'd fact check. R.I.P. John Prescott.
It's reported that Blair asked him why he'd done it and Prezzer replied 'well, you told me I had to connect with the public, so I did'
