Not good if he didn't bother. Maybe he's looking to a future somewhere else. I could scarcely blame him. Charlton have won 9 games out of 19 played in all competitions this season so far. 4 of those 9 wins being Cup games. We've won just once in our last 8 league games. And the football we are playing is arguably (?) worse than last season. What was the point of rising to the occasion and beating Birmingham, when we lose or fail to win against so many poor teams?
You can understand why NJ said he didn't want a L1 team in the next round of the Cup. We can't beat those buggers. L2, non-league and Under21's please, we can beat them.
Jones actually said he didn't want Charlton in the 2nd round of the Cup? For pity's sake. We are a non-league team in ever more aspects. Mentality being a key one under this ambitionless manager. EDIT Apologies, I think I misunderstood. You meant Jones said he didn't want Charlton to be drawn against another League One team in the Cup. Though to be honest that's almost as bad as my original interpretation.
What is it, 10 or 11 days until the team plays again? Any chance at all of one or two injured players getting back to fitness?
Makes little difference if they are back. We nicked wins at the start but we were utter garbage in the process.
I didn’t bother to watch Nathan Jones’ post match interview last night, as it’s a bit like a post from Seriously Red- the same repetitive waffle every time. Jones should use the break to re- think his whole strategy, because it isn’t working.
