Bad news: Laura Loomer tried to invade Bluesky earlier today, and in a totally normal manner started mass-following accounts

Good news: Bluesky promptly banned her account, not least due to her mass-following tripping their bot sensors

So, it`s mooted that illegal immigrants and asylum seekers are to be given free bus passes, I wondered what that hike in the bus fare cap was in aid of.

"But your position is a million miles away from the utopian 'escaping the bubble' you were describing earlier."

That is paraphrasing. I didn't say social media for a start I said specifically X Twitter. Now you are feeding my own argument back to me. I said " it's always good to know what is out there otherwise you are living in a bubble."

I use X for keeping in touch with people. I don't use it for gathering information for that I use books for in depth, the internet to signal what I might want to know about. Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends and twitter to keep in touch with journalists, writers, local politicians and activists in certain fields of interest. You Tube is also a fantastic resource for just about anything that can be spoken, played or sung.

Having grown up in a world without computers I appreciate how amazing it is to be able to find things and people so easily now that we have them.
As a teenager I used to go and stand on a particular corner near where I lived and wait for my mates to turn up. Some times they did sometimes they didn't. I find it ironic that teens can now contact mates easily but spend more time indoors on social media. The gap between old and young has in some ways never been wider because the respective worlds we grew up in are so different in so many ways. So it's not surprising to find that people use electronic communication in different ways.

I am with the Celtic fans. It's time the gross hypocrisy of remembrance by the politicians was called out.

It should have been called out fifteen years ago when David Cameron brought a photographer along to the Service of Remembrance so he could show how he was "grieving" - but instead Gordon Brown had the spads round up his own photographer so he could do likewise instead of calling out Cameron for politicising it

Let's be clear the real cess pit is not social media it's main stream media, the BBC, ITV, the national newspapers including, sadly, The Guardian, hedge funds moved in apparently, as well as Zionists who are embedded in the state. It's very clear how MSM supports and tried to spread the official state message. The internet is the reason people all over the world are on the streets demonstrating against Israel. Our media and media all over the world can no longer monopolise the message. Now we can see exactly how the USA and the UK present themselves as the good guys.
I grew up in a fairly open and democratic state, it has gone.
