Doesn't even look drunk or anything. Just genuinely decides to say something that brings his impartiality into question.
There’s countless times he’s made horrendous decisions - I know every fan thinks refs against them as they notice them more. I can’t say if he’s made other shockers but there’s about 4/5 high profile ones against us. As I say prob others for other teams because he’s just a crap ref but this doesn’t help the situation
Coote was var on the Pickford/vvd tackle - didn’t realise could send him off Odegard handbal - was also var and came up with crazy excuse that he was slipping?! Was var in game against United when Origi got fouled and United went on to score. was one where didn’t get a pen for foul on Robertson against Burnley Was also a game between spurs Chelsea where didn’t give a clear red card for a stamp.
My initial reaction is that it’s a AI fake. Then you look at his actual decisions and everything makes sense….interesting to see how this unfolds edit…..and then you wonder if somebody has held this over him to get some decisions. Could be dynamite. Could also be fake
Absolutely, with an appalling attitude towards Klopp and Liverpool how does that affect his decision making if he's reffing us?....(or in VAR).
I actually have mixed opinions on this. Obviously after something like this, at the very least, he should never be involved in a Liverpool game (or a direct rival) ever again. His bias is out in the open now and any game he officiated involving us (or a points rival) will now always be suspect. On the other hand, it would be naive to think any referee who has been around the block would not have some managers and teams they have a problem with and secretly dislike. This video was never meant to be shared. The biggest difference between David ****e and the other refs is that his beef is out in the open now. You expect them to be fair and unbiased on the field... But we all know they have secret biases. Impossible not to.
The most damning was the Odegaard "handball" when he was on VAR though the fact in the Pickford / VVD incident he didn't realise you could issue a red after someone was offside showed a worrying lack of knowledge of the rules - not saying it should have been red just it should have been considered .
If he's allowed to carry on officiating after a suspension, the club should put in a request that he never refs our games again.
The first time I ever noticed him was in a Spurs game a few years ago. I can't remember who it was against but he let some ridiculous challenges go. I've noticed it in other games too. I thought he was either blind or stupid - having seen that video I'm settling firmly on the latter. Edit: Perhaps it was the Spurs Chelsea one you mentioned.
After the foul on MO Salah he played advantage...was it deliberate?.However it worked in favour of Liverpool. After Nunez scored he can not bring the ball back and give a foul. He was eventually done by his craftiness.
