Southend United had a bumper 8,300 attendance yesterday, incl over 1,100 in the away end.

The Shrimpers are absolutely on their arses thanks to their horrible ex owner Ron Martin, and nearly went out of business last season.

Hopefully yesterday’s cash boost will be a big help to them.
