Yeah, although we need other options to him, so this is a good chance to see how that works. Kelly or Krafth I assume. Loved this game last year, we were 1-3 down at home with 13 mins to go, then West Ham decided to sit back and have a beer, Barnes's last minute winner, yas
Think we've stumbled across a great front 3 now in Gordon, Isak, Joelinton - what I really like about that combo is that all 3 have played the out and out CF role for the club and scored goals from there - but equally all have the ability to play the other wider roles as well meaning there is a big goal threat whether they are playing from wide or centrally... Add to that the work rate of all three when we lose the ball (Isak does track back hard when he loses the ball) and the combination of pace, power and skill between the three of them, I think it could be a really potent forward line.
And also the realization that Bruno/Tonali/Joelinton in midfield clearly doesn't work. Good thing is Joelinton is versatile enough to be in that front 3, just obviously not as the middle striker. Longstaff obviously doing well, but Willock coming back makes a major difference too. I like the idea of Bruno and Tonali swapping regularly as Bruno got knackered from being overworked last season.
I mean Joelinton literally arrived as a CF and scored (not very many) goals but that was 5 years ago as a young, lanky lad. I personally still think he is our next best option to play CF (behind Isak) with the massive improvements he's made across his game and physically - just no ones realizes it yet. I think the Tonali/Bruno combo will come good - and then you can add any of the other CM's to them and it'll work - they have played about 10 games together since Tonali's suspension and they will click soon...
He's not kicking the ball off his own face anymore Let's see home many Goals and Assists he get's this year if he holds down that LW position.
