Well Chat GPT says we will be playing in the Premier League next season, whilst Google Gemini, says that we wont be promoted this season, but we will the season after.

So I am sure you won't be too disappointed 20/20 when I say I hope that ChatGPT's prediction is closer than yours :)

I honestly think that we’re a clinical/regular goal scorer away from winning this division comfortably.

Correct but we’re not going to get one. On that front Summerville is a colossal loss. Fans without the rose tinted knew he would be. He had failings like all players but how many games did he salvage last season with his twenty plus goals with wonder strikes from nothing. Several. He was exactly what was needed on the pitch Wednesday when the rest of them were tapping about with aimless passes. If our top players continue to see no progress they’ll continue to leave every summer. The suits can then tell the fans it’s down to psr again. Good moaning everyone by the way

    Good moaning pal :emoticon-0148-yes:

You could be right but we are still ahead on points from where we were last season I believe and we have played all of the other teams in the top seven.

Personally I think we will go up this year but, like you that doesn’t particularly fill me with glee so I’m just going to enjoy / endure every game and see where it takes us.

Good word that endure. I was trying to think of a good way to describe a lot of football these days. On a side note, pity we couldn’t have attracted Brendan Rodger’s. He has Celtic flying and were terrific mid week in champions league. I listen to his post match stuff and he has no problems swapping players and tactics to suit opposition. We only seem to have one system

I know but I deliberately listened to Rodger’s reasons after last weekends win against abardeen for dropping scales. He’s been one of the best performers this season. It was to put in a faster centre half to counteract two speedy forwards. Why did Farke not stick in our new 6ft 3 centre half to make life difficult for their 6ft 7 giraffe. Everyone knew Millwall would direct every set piece to his head and that’s where their goal inevitably came from

Because Farke’s master plan was to man mark the 6ft 7 giraffe with 4ft 6 Gnonto

he did do at one point. You can’t out jump cooper whoever you put there… trick is to block him. And is our new DM cover taller than Rodon/struijk? Worth breaking up a successful partnership?

Irrespective of the above… tbh Eire I’m not sure you’ve picked the best example of Roger’s tactical genius.

And my gran could manage Celtic to the title, even now god rest her soul.

I think the idea is to win the 2nd ball as you’re unlikely to beat him in the air, that’s what we failed to do for the goal.

maybe have a look at how they’re performing in the champions league so. As for a ****e Scottish league it’s on a par with the one we’re in

When I played at my highest level, I was the "disrupter". My job was to man mark danger players and disrupt danger men at set pieces. I was ****ing good at it too. I played at a respectful level.

It's not easy to stop Cooper but I would have doubled up on him. If it was me, I would have been literally standing on his feet, grabbing his shorts or shirt on the referees blind side, elbowing, scratching, nipping and anything I could get away with. The main job is to stop him getting a running jump on anyone. I'd genuinely nail his feet to the floor with my back two studs. The only way he can get by you is by physically grabbing hold of you with his arms and flinging you out of the way. If he does that then you have to rely on the ref. You've just got to be clever (and willing to take a clump off him at some point). If and when you stop him from moving then you have to rely on one of you're defenders to attack the ball.

It's not easy but I didn't see much effort from our lot to stop him running. The fight wasn't in us. They wanted it more.

I will reiterate this again. The only team who can stop Leeds getting promoted this year is Leeds. We have the best of everything apart from that crunching desire to do whatever it takes to win a game of football. That could be being clinical in front of goal or it could be Gnonto willing to take an elbow or two off Cooper away at Millwall. It might even be bad luck at times.

The mistakes need to stop. Even if we halved the errors then we'd comfortably win this league. We could be the best ever squad over two seasons to fail to go up. We did it in League 1 so if any club can do it, it's us.

Scot’s prem is only ever a 1 or 2 horse race due to resources.

As for Europe… I watched them lose 7-1 to dortmund a month ago but fair play on the leipzig win… maybe he swapped a defender :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don’t have a strong opinion on Rogers, though thought he lacked ambition in taking the Celtic job tbh. <cheers>

Indeed… to be fair they did have a great team in the late 60’s, drubbed us in the 1970 European cup final semi’s when we were in our pomp. So it’s only 50 years or so since they had a decent team

Perhaps if some of you ever watched a cl game you might actually know what you’re on about <laugh>
No point trying to wind me up in fairness. I know where to look to get my footie fixes. Today was not one of those occasions but as a great man once said I endured all 90 minutes plus
