I thought we played well in the first half and the VAR decision was the killer. We were the dominant team, despite the lack of chances created and some of that is down to us trying to create the perfect goal by trying to pass through a packed defence. I watched Wolves recently and Lemina regularly dropped into the back line, closing gaps and he was doing it again today. We need to try pot shots. Bree did in two Carabao cup and scored twice. Who knows. The occasional blocked shot will provide the killer pass we keep looking for or we might even get a lucky deflection. RM is a nice guy but maybe he’s too nice and maybe the squad is too nice. If everyone is happy then maybe there’s not enough drive in the individual players, who are left out, to force their way into the team.
When exactly has he had any real minutes to convince you. I thought his 5 mins against Man City were good and they became uncomfortable with him on the putch
Older heads also. We’re getting smashed each week. Not smashed in so much as losing by 3,4,5 but style. It cannot be good.
Yet Adarma scored last week and Manning scored this week. We score goals dispite the tactics.Just not enough.
He did more today than archer. At least he won a few fouls and put himself about. Archer was a non-entity again today. Tbh I don’t think either of them are anywhere close to good enough to keep us up though
I do as well but you’ve got to use it & we don’t. Whether that’s because of possession based tactics or lack of quality or a combo of both doesn’t really matter, as the end result is same. Continue with (said at start of season, 5 games, at 10 games) we will get exactly same. Maddening.
Thank god I’m not the only one left standing We were at the game and we are playing better Their 2nd was set up by a Dawson foul on Cam and Assistant could see it but looked to ref We made chances 1st half And Wolves are indepted massively to Cunha as well as officials
He put Sulemana through against Leicester as well. I think those two could be our best bet for chances/goals with Sulemanas pace and Onuchus height
I actually didn't hate Bafflingly Bad Decision today - thought at least he showed some passion and determination.
I don't think he understands that the reason we have so much of the ball in their final 3rd isn't because we are so great. It's a combination of other reasons. Partly because teams sit back because they know we don't have much threat. But also because our build up is so slow that we give opponents time to get organised and defend against us.
Tbh I wasn’t really paying much attention after the second went in, had it on but wasn’t really watching so can’t comment on how the last 25 mins or so went
Apart from Manning scored a perfectly good goal. I am not defending Martin as he needs to go. But criticising the choice of Manning when he scores is strange
It’s quite simple really I just think other players in the squad would be more effective. Maybe Dibling would’ve scored 2 if he had started given how dominant we were in the first half
