I thought our last game was our worst performance in well over a year. Today was even worse. Shoddy defending, aimless attacking, silly fouls and terrible decisions. Yes, we have the worst injury list in the division and to our key players, but there is no excuse for today. Rubbish.
How many first teamers do you have out? I thought it was a few from your defence, not that you really needed a defence today we couldn’t get past the midfield
That was awful. Bristol also have 9 injuries but they ran rings around us all through the game. Down to 14th now and sinking fast. Next up is West Brom away. Good luck with that!
You can blame injuries if you like, but we had a lot of first teamers out as well, and their immediate replacements. We had 7 players out today that would be in our match day 16 every week. And 2 players starting today who have just come back from injury and haven’t played for weeks.
Yeah we weren’t great today, passing was much slower than usual and not finding there men far too often. Battle looked lost in midfield as we lacked energy and control, Bristol successfully pressed our CM quickly and we often turned the ball over. Only players that I thought did well were Crnac and Chrisene when he came on. Most others were hit and miss
But where are the injuries, are they all first team options or squad players? Whats killed us over the last couple of weeks is not having 1st choice GK, all 1st choice CMs, 1st choice Striker but then also a lot of the backups that would come in are injured or have been rushed back from injury. Not arguing that you fully deserved the win today by the way, just interested at how depleted your first 11 is
RB, CB, 2x CM’s from what would arguably be our first 11, but most of their first choice deputies are out as well. Add to that our first choice LB was only back in today after over a month out.
