Israel shouldn't be in the competition in the first place all sporting ties to this apartheid terrorist state should be cut.

While I am busy killing thousands of women and children I'll just pop over to Amsterdam for a game of football.

The platform is just a reflection of the world of humans. There are all kinds of people on there, as in life you have to discern who is worth speaking to and who isn't. Just like not606 in fact only bigger.

The MSM on the other hand is NOT a reflection of humanity it's a projection of the establishment view of whatever country it originates from.

Not606 has some vague moderation though and it doesn't push a bunch of **** at you.
Twitter used to be fairly benign, for the most part, but it had a part in things like the Arab spring.
It had to die, so Musk's killed it.

Have you noticed Premier League on not606?

I manage to use X and filter out a lot of the crap but it's always good to know what is out there otherwise you are living in a bubble. I accept that some people need a bubble to cope with a **** world but that is not dealing with the world that's avoiding it, which again is perfectly understandable.
Rumours of twitters death like Mark Twain said are exaggerated.

General Chat is worse than the Premier League board! <laugh>
You'd get booted from both for being an actual Nazi, though. That's not the case on Twatter. I'm not exaggerating, either.

I prefer to see idiots rather than have them suppressed and plotting. There are plenty of Nazis on twitter as there seem to be a growing number in the world.

Due to platforms such as Twitter promoting them.

I agree. That's what happens when rich, selfish lunatics buy up everything in sight.

There's two other things of note

The first is setting off fireworks during the minute's silence wasn't just being a bunch of disrespectful ****s but also a political message, given Spain backs an arms embargo on Israel and that immediately puts the Maccabi fans' intentions in a very different light, namely they were mocking the dead because they dared to suggest that poor, innocent victim Israel should not be allowed to commit genocide with impunity as long as the cheques clear

The second is the utterly bizarre framing of the story. For decades stories of away fans kicking off either in European competitions or internationals has always framed those away fans as the aggressors, usually because they are - except for this one case, where apparently they did nothing wrong until the wealth of footage and eyewitness accounts said that the word "pogrom" can be added to the list of words that mean absolutely ****ing nothing these days

The IDF has reportedly banned all personnel from travelling to Holland until further notice

Mossad aren't so tough when adult men are coming at them, are they?

And just look how traumatised Maccabi's poor, innocent victim fans look...

Must have been from the group of fans roaming the streets of Amsterdam with weapons...

That’s the crazy part for me. Away fans have regularly travelled abroad and caused trouble before and righlty been called thugs etc, yet this time they’re the victims of some premeditated and coordinated attack.

Absolute bollocks and the media are pushing their agenda big time with this.

They've even created a ****ing Wikipedia page for it

I don't recall a Wikipedia page being created for any of the times our fans were jumped by Lazio, Anderlecht or Lyon fans in the past decade

For some it adds to the ‘we’re being persecuted just for existing’

I’m guessing the next step is to tell anyone feeling scared to move to Israel where it’s safe and the streets are paved with gold

The reason I mention Muslim grooming gangs is because of the mentality that people use it as an excuse to attack Islam as a religion and individual Asian men.

This is similar to some of what I have read. I have no idea of the full facts of the case but it concerns me that many think that all macabre fans were racist anti Palestinian scum. Some undoubtedly were but we are kidding ourselves if we think that:
    1. The only Macabbi fans beaten were those involved in causing and showing anti Muslim hatred.
    2. That anti semetism did not play a role in some of the attacks against Macabbi fans.

So no I don't think that it "was a strange place" to start.

There are many bigots who hide the vile anti semitism behind opposition to this war.

Do I think the press is anti Muslim ?
Do I believe that Israeli lies constantly?
    Yes I do.
However, denying that there was any anti semitic involved is fanciful .

I have boycotted Israeli products since the late 1990s as I think they are as bad as Aparthied South Africa.
I have been on the recent demos and I think that the Israeli army is and have been committing war crimes and crimes against humanity for decades.

Finally, we have been charged for some of our away fan chanting homophonic words against Arteta.
I hare homophobia as much as i hate racism and if a homophonic prick gets a slap then **** em. However it dont mean every away fan deserves a slap for what happened that day.

They absolutely should be treated like Apartheid South Africa were but the idea that EVERY macabre fan is involved killing killing thousands of women and children is simply wrong. There will have been Dutch Jewish Macabbi fans going to and from the game who have **** all to do with the war.

I do still view Twitter occasionally, but keep private and don't comment. (No point!) But I've tested out a few options as SM does have a great societal value in the right hands. I've settled on Bluesky for now: it's like Twitter was 12-14 years ago and is really growing. Whether it suffers a similar fate is another matter, as there appears to be an unending supply of multi-billionaires who are dedicated in corrupting the public voice.
