Trust feckin Barnesy to spent the whole presser asking about Jobe when he isn't able to play for us for the next 2.5 weeks
@RTB - yet again great thread! I am hoping he keeps the same team as against Preston and that Browne has bit more match fitness and that young Watson gets his home debut. I am not going to predict as I shall curse it Hawaaaaay
He had a couple of very high profile stinkers and the die was cast with many of our fans from there. HIs defensive output was pretty comparable with Neil. Ultimately familiarity breeds contempt. Once we've seen a player for a fair while, it becomes easier to remember their bad moments and they somewhat override times when they were just 'fine'. I think we're seeing a little bit of that with Neil too. It certainly happens with managers. And Speakman lives forever in the red because of the phenomenon.
Have to say I was a very good passer and could take free kicks, but could not shoot from open play! Was terrible. Mind, I played for the Pot. & Glass!!!
Ekwah, has a lot of potential, his performances often in a poor team were far better than the ratings he got from some quarters.
Display looks excellent. Hopefully people are in their seats in time.... https://x.com/ThisIsWearside/status/1854942364265312559?t=6zZ-EKvePrgiLRBEXFR5bQ&s=19
I'm rarely in early but will be tomorrow ... ... not much to give up when you think what others gave.
I can only say what I'm thinking and I'm thinking I'd start Watson on the left. However, I'd understand Mundle starting from a tactical standpoint, he needs to hit form again soon.
Their right wingback is very good I think mundle will get the nod, want to see Watson get more than 5/10min cameos though and from the left rather than the right
I think we will go after them from the first whistle and we will see the high press from earlier in the season, but who knows what RLB and the coaching team have planned? If we don't really know then what hope Coventry? Hoping for an early goal and us to dominate them. As I've said before when it all clicks we will batter a team and what better time than tomorrow? 3-0 Roberts, Browne, 09
Weird one this. Hate playing against sides that have just sacked a manager, however I think this one is slightly different as i'm actually glad we aren't facing a Robins side. I can't imagine the Coventry interim will change much in terms of tactics or personnel from Robins, but will he be able to motivate and make the in game tweaks a manager like Robins can do? Not so sure. From our point of view, we need to improve on the last two games. In particular going forward. I would go back to the regular front three of Mundle, Isidor and Roberts as I feel like they are our best bet currently. Midfield needs to be better as I expect it to be the same three as what started on Wednesday, Browne in particular must improve. They have chopped and changed between a back 3 and a back 4 this season, I hope they go with a 4 as we have really struggled against wing backs so far. From what i've read, the away end may be a tad toxic tomorrow. Hopefully we can take advantage. Going to predict a tight game. 1-0, O'Nien.
