That's me done, bit of a day yesterday thoroughly enjoyable but late. Been to a few hotels in Cardiff over the years but The Marriott is the nicest only thing that lets it down is **** pillows and a bad night's sleep because of that. My local reopens tomorrow so will be off there for a couple.
Just had the best nights sleep in years. I’m going to have to take the hotel bed apart to see if the mattress has a manufacturers name on it!
Am in the market for a new mattress.. will be the third one in 6 years. Bought the premier inn mattress 18months ago and hate it. The one previous was awful as well. am going on a cruise again next week and the mattresses on the ship are incredible. Made by a company called Mattermoll. Need to try and go to bed one night not hammered to ensure it wasn’t a fluke I slept really well the previous two times on the ship.
Let me know, as like you, I’m buying a different mattress every couple of years and not finding one that is comfortable
The one on the ship is by Mattermoll and is called the majestic. Only one supplier of them in the uk a company called websters furniture who are based up north somewhere. They also stock mattresses from most hotel chains as well. So if you figure out the brand and name of the hotel you’re in look at their website. have decided I want a pocket sprung medium firmness one. The question is regards the material ontop of the pocket springs. Some companies use natural fibres and others different types of foams .
Apparently they are made by an American company called Sealy and it’s called the Forrest dreams mattress.
I bought a Highgrove 1500 pocket mattress a few years ago and it has been amazing. Firm and supportive and it had stood the test of time. I make sure I turn and flip my mattress every time I change the sheets, so that keeps them in good condition too
