I will be staying down in Totnes for a few days and will take in the game. I'm not sure what I will enjoy the most, the pre-match beers and pasties or the football! Exeter is a lovely part of the country and the ground has still maintained a lovely charm, and managed to keep terracing in place. What is the xg on a Charlton victory?
Exmouth is also very nice - had some very nice holidays down that way - I can put you in touch with someone who knows all about Xg
For those who are travelling for the first time by train, the stadium is just about walkable on the way back, but definitely not on the way there. Unless you fancy walking up a hill in Exeter that resembles Mount Kilimanjaro @ElfsborgAddick I believe the away end has been demolished since we last visited.
St James' Park station is behind the main stand and takes you to Exeter St Davids. The downside of this is that you miss the pasty shops in town, particularly the one opposite Exeter Central station. The away end is now built, I have a terrace ticket, and have been given a box so I can see the game better.
@Charles No Likes Hawtrey if you like pasties like you do Brazilian ***s I can bring a few back. I can see you like pastry
Today with a convincing win, hopefully sets us up for a big performance. Exeter is a very hard game given their position. The pasties there are a joy though
Settled in to our accommodation yesterday, the Proper Job went down well. Looking forward to visiting my old holiday destinations of Paignton and Torquay today, I might even sample a pasty.
Try to have no worse than double vision by the time you enter the ground tomorrow, we could do with some live updates
Had a small traditional pasty yesterday, the first on my trip down here. Going into Paignton and Torquay today, it will bring back memories of lovely family holidays as a kid.
