Do we ever not draw Sweden? No doubt we'll have the usual meeting with Portugal in the knockout stages too.

I just hope the country get behind the team this tournament and try to enjoy it, but unfortunately I see it as more likely that everyone will be more interested in who the players may or may not be shagging than what they do on the pitch, and will look for any reason to state how **** we are when we don't win the tournament and constantly search for different nonsensical reasons as to why this is the case. The fact is there are about 10 decent teams, that gives us a 10% chance of winning assuming we play to our potential.

If we get to the semis it should be seen as a success.

Last time we were in the Euros (04) we had France and Sweden. No idea who the 3rd team was. I believe we drew 2-2 with Sweden after being 2-0 up, and the France game still brings bad memories. A Frank Lampard header from a David Beckham cross gave us the lead, we also missed a penalty and some point before Zinedine Zidane scored a free kick and a penalty in the dying moments to win 2-1. Absolute torture.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to see ourselves and Sweden qualify. France have been dire the last few years.

Good news for England. Missed the group of death (B) and in an easier group D. Shame about A but thats football draws for ya.

Now for the FA Cup rd.3 draw sunday for Hull City. Grimsby Town @ home anyone ? Me, i want Rotherham Utd away @ the Don Valley Stadium.

You think it was bad, before the game doing the predictions I said they'd win 2-1, with either Lampard or Gerrard for first goal. At full time I was just as annoyed I'd not been down the bookies to put money on those two options.

I was at that game, it was heartbreaking and I quite fancied running over David James in my hire car.

I was in Main Event that game. When the second goal went in so did a torrent of pint glasses towards the big screen. Holes all over it. Got a bit nasty.

I've predicted Redbridge to win 2-0 at Crawley <laugh>

I'm hoping we get them at home in the 3rd Round (I think they're the lowest ranked team left)
