    I wouldn't either.
Was gutted when he went, but genuinely don't think we've missed him at all.
We look a more balanced side now.

Nope, Clarke was class for us but Mundle is a big big part or this team

Having Clarke as an impact sub would be good tho lol

Clarke has the consistency over a couple of seasons and is clearly a top player in the Champ, but i always had a nagging feeling he may not be PL standard based on his home Cup performances against Fulham and Mags. He has been 'ok' at Ipswich and ironic we could be swapping positions. It was a strange decision for him to leave, in my view.

Mundle looks like he doesnt have a particular ceiling to his skills - looks quicker than Clarke, and more physical. Needs to be as consistent as Clarke, but what a great example of recruitment to see a player replace what was our best player and we just havent missed him.

    Mundle starts for me

Agreed guys, but remember this - Both Mundle and Clarke can play on either wings, don't forget...

And therefore, and more interesting maybe is, that we should be asking If either of them is better than Roberts on the right wing?

I would have him back in a heartbeat.

But yes, we don't need him....yet.

Clarke is absolute quality BUT I’d venture we are a better team with Mundle in it. For 2 seasons our plan has been “give it to Clarkey” in the same way it was when McGeady was in the team in L1. The absence of this superstar has put more onus on us to find ways of winning from different sources.

fwiw I think Mundle could end up every bit as good as Clarke

Mundle been really good so far this season but I think to say he’s better than Clarke already is a bit of a stretch. Obviously it’s never going to happen but I’d be curious to see Clarke in this team, we used to just give him the ball and hope for the best. Now we’re much more balanced I think he’d thrive and you wouldn’t see teams double up on him so often because we’d exploit it.

Thats not to say Mundle isn’t worthy of his place though. I’d also love to see Samed and Connolly in this team I think they could both bring a lot to the table, especially Samed as the 6 but we’re flying at the minute so changes aren’t needed.

Clarke is the better player but we haven’t really missed him yet, which is a massive plus

I would say atm we look like a better attacking threat without Clarke.
Mundle over time will become the better player,
Clarke hasnt really set a light the PL with Ipswich and he will be one the first sold if Ipswich go down.

thankful for what JC did but he left for the PL, but never go back to an ex player

On balance I think I prefer Mundle, but its a close call. Having Mundle hitting the ground running has meant we haven't missed Clarkes impact which speak volumes for Mundle

Mundle has more to his game. He doesn’t rely wholly on the one, admittedly effective, move.

    We good with Romaine thanks.

I do love Jacky and not cheapening what he did and was but Mundle will be better in a year.

Henderson isn’t for me like but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the club target him.

I just think he's got so much to offer.....as a leader, a coach, a mentor, and a player.....I really do.

But I respect your view mate :emoticon-0148-yes:
