To be fair I think Welshie's point is we have our own problems that are bigger than Trump both in this country and in Europe. We basically elect gobshites into power, who then place other gobshites in roles they have no specialisation in, no experience and no clue and then wonder how the country and the world is getting more and more ****ed whilst the normal working person has less money in their pocket at the end of every month. I mean that no smoking ****e the other day just proves a point. We'll save the NHS by banning smoking outside hospitals and schools, which will save the country money. Whilst we still allow everyone immigration into the country with no specific skill sets, no family over here or ties to the country. The one that puzzles me the most with the NHS in this day and age is this one. We'll stop people smoking outside. to save the NHS money. Farage has said many times that our health care system should be replaced with an insurance style one like in America. For the avoidance of doubt I'd like to clarify that per person we spend about 35% the amount of money they do in America (and less than they do in most western countries - less than France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, etc) and yet have 100% of the population covered by care (many countries have 100% but some are high 90's and America is 83%, as in 1 in 6 people in America don't really have proper access to healthcare). In reality world we factually have one of the most efficient health care systems in the world, could it be better? Of course it could. It could be a hell of a lot worse though and any suggestions that lead down the path towards privatisation or insurance based systems are more expensive and less efficient in every single country that has them. That's not an opinion, that's simply what the amount of money spent shows. There's a lot of money to be made by companies if they are allowed into the NHS services and it's hard not to be cynical asss to why some politicians look for change. Farage has a lot of rich friends who he could make much much richer.
