I'm on my way and confident. See no reason not to be. 9 wins, some exciting football. 2 defeats....lost it at Plymouth, our only real blip, and a silly pen at Watford in the last 5 mins. 2 draws...QPR , mind, we did get lucky against dorty Leeds...wonder how important that may be at the dog end of the season. This could easily develop into a 3 horse race for the top two positions. We're doing great.....love these matches under lights at this time of year. Full away end tonight......haway me bonny lads!
HEADS UP for those travelling the M6 is currently closed both ways multi vehicle accident and artic overturned at J 33 which is just North of Preston. Air ambulance on scene and declared a major incident. With the wagon overturned in could be shut for hours.
This season might remind me of 1963/64,when we were locked with Leeds for promotion to Div 1, as it was then. We played at Elland Road on Boxing Day...42,000 in their ground... and drew 1-1. The return match was 2 days later at Roker.....we won 2-0 in front of over 55,000! They did win the league by 2 points from us that year.....third, a few behind was.....Preston!
I’d doubt it last time there was a major incident on that road it was shut fir 12 hours A59 will be chocker
Reckon RLB might make a few changes tonight to freshen things up. Would quite like to see Connolly get some more minutes as feel this could be a good test for him. Think Mundle could use a rest. Going for a 0-2 win for the lads. Connolly to open his account and Riggy to score on his return to the side. Looking forward to it.
We’ve organised with the staff to have our match on one of the screens tonight mate. Spangled now but I’m sure we’ll see the match.
I’m desperately trying to resist another pint before I get on the train, would quite like to see some of the game
