At least he’s going to stop the war in unkraine Prob end up helping his pal Putin take over the whole thing - he never said how was going to stop it!
His aides have already sketched a peace deal which basically recognises the currently Held borders, i.e. including land Russia has taken and Crimea. Zelensky won't like it but if Trump withdraws military support he won't have much choice. Potentially also allow a puppet or at least Russian-friendly regime to take over the government.
At least he'll put a stop to all those immigrants eating the locals' cats and dogs. **** me, the older I get, the crazier the world gets.
I'm just glad I can escape back to UK (or anywhere in the EU as long as Hungary doesn't get kicked out of union) if I have to flee the US...
Quote of the day to answer this "The only winner tonight is the Voyager probe, which is speeding away from the Earth at 17 kilometers/second"
I'm looking forward to all those vacuous celebrities who said they'd leave USA if Trump got in to actually leave but somehow don't think they will.
Dave Mackay: “I have never been so angry in my life. I was just back from a broken leg for the second time (his leg was broken in 1963 and 1964). I’d had real concerns about whether I would ever play again, especially after I’d broken it in my comeback game some time earlier. So when Bremner went for me in my next comeback, I lost it. “It had started with a throw-in down the line. I’d pushed him over so we both went down on all fours. When we got back up he gave me a whack on my bad left leg - even coming across my right leg and going for it deliberately. I was so angry I thought I could throw him over the stand. “I would not like to repeat what I said to him but it was not complimentary, he was a brilliant little player but a dirty little b******." Mackay admits he is not proud of the incident and, indeed, actively dislikes the picture because it shows a rare lack of control. “It makes me look like a bully,” he says, “and I’ve always hated bullies. My whole life I’ve stood up against them.” Jimmy Greaves, a Spurs team-mate of Mackay’s, was more forthright in his criticism of Bremner when he discussed the photo in 2011. “When Dave grabbed Billy it was probably the only time this nasty little player ever looked frightened in his entire career,” “I can remember Bremner kicking me in the tunnel before one Leeds-Spurs match. I asked: ‘What did you do that for, Bill?’ and he said: ‘Just cos I f****** felt like it" please log in to view this image It's amazing how much hate this talented Leeds team received at that time. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham thought they were top dogs, and then suddenly, a Leeds United team came along. please log in to view this image
Bremner was a nasty little tw*t and hated by most of the footballers of the day, unless they played for Leeds.
Politics is such a mucky world. I'm seeing loads of blatantly opportunistic people previously critical of Trump now scrambling to show their support and gain favourable positions. Like those here opposed to Brexit suddenly changing their tune so they could exploit it. I suppose there are plenty of decent politicians who will stick to their principles hidden away somewhere - but the ones at the top all seem to be self-serving scumbags.
As Egypt have already qualified Salah has been excused for this international break, this means he will be available to pick up an injury whilst training before we play City.
