    Two unbeatFUN <diva>

So after back to back wins, involving FUN late winners in both, we travel to the West Midlands to face a Wolves side who replaced us at the bottom of the league on Saturday after Armstrong's late winner against Everton.

Despite this being a match between the two bottom clubs, Wolves, like Saints, play a heavy possession style of football under the ex skate Gary O'Neil, and therefore this actually could be the most FUN match of the entire Premier League season. In fact, you could even say it's a contest between WolverhamptFUN vs SouthamptFUN.

As has been discussed at length our next 5 fixtures look rather daunting so this is yet another must win for Russel Martin if we're to have any chance whatsoever of a FUN great escape. Wolves fans have seemingly turned on the manager big time so should we get a early goal the home crowd could really turn and we could be in for a FUN afternoon.

Prediction - Well this is truly an early season six pointer and both teams will be absolutely desperate for the win. I think neither will get it though and it'll end in a 1-1 draw with us coming from behind to salvage an underserved point. Those of us lucky to attend however will have the FUN of seeing both teams keep lots of possession in their own third of the pitch.

For such a ****hole part of the country we've actually had a lot of FUN there before...

Here's hoping we have the FUN and are howling with it at the Wolves.

Strange isn’t it? One scratchy win (2 if you really want to include Stoke) & we all are looking for our first away points of the season & a win to boot. Wolves are in a false position & I doubt very much if they’ll be in the bottom 3 come April ….. especially if we do beat them because they’ll have a new unknown manager, who will become the best thing since sliced bread & thereafter, will go storming up the league. COYS.

Well if Wolves fans really don't want their manager, they will be hoping for a Saints win more than us.

We win, their manager gets the sack and we keep ours - that is 'win-win' for them surely?

I wouldn't object to starting Adarma on the left, with Dibling back on the right and Archer through the middle. Adarma did **** all on the right against Everton but got the winner when he drifted in off the left hand side.

    Ramsdale
    THB Bednarek Stephens
    Sugawara Downes Fernandes KWP
    Dibling Archer Adarma

I'm not necessarily against Armstrong at LW but I don't think it will work with KWP behind him. Whilst KWP still sometimes takes it down the line, they both tend to cut in and it is quite easy to defend against.

If we had signed an attacking left back then it would work pretty well.

Thought he was **** on the left as well tbh, goal or not.

Also think if he was being marked by anyone other than a 50 year old Ashley Young the run he made for the goal wouldn’t have worked

I’d play Sulemana as I think his pace should hopefully mean Semedo thinks twice about bombing forward but I suspect I’m alone in that thinking

Maybe, but we haven't exactly going many options out there who are standing out. At least Armstrong provides a threat when he drifts in off that left hand side, which is more than can be said for others who have played there this season. I'd be ok with giving Sulemana a go as well. But maybe in a 3-4-1-2 alongside Archer.

To be fair it was pretty much like that when NJ was in charge. We wanted a win, but not really.

One person I really don’t want to see is Sulemana personally. That left side is a real problem.

It’s a shame Fraser has been off the pace as I still think he’s our best option on the left wing. He works hard and has a decent cross.

I just hope Martin realises that he needs a left back behind him and he isn’t a wing back <laugh>
