Funny that. Although he seemed to get it back from Archie on Sunday and as I commented was good to see the youngster hold his ground! :emoticon-0148-yes:

One thing which slipped past most people: Brennan Johnson was going Full Lamela in the buildup to Maddison's free kick, strolling between Martinez and his wall when he was giving instructions, pretending to clear mud off his boots to distract Martinez, and then nicking his water bottle

He's been spotted a few times revelling in winding up the opposition.

More of it, please. There isn't anywhere near as much nastiness or dark arts in this team as I'd like.

I only just about finished the City one the other day, I may need a week to do Villa <laugh>.

To be honest I generally only reserve them for big six plus West Ham but Villa’s result is rather appealing to do one for. I’ll consider it lol.

There would be more if Richy could stay fit for more than three weeks at a time

What's that, a 4th episode for season 7 of DH's AwayDays is already here? You heard that right ladies and gents! I think we've already matched or even surpassed the amount of episodes from last season and this week DH gets to visit the West Ham of Birmingham as he sees his claret and blue pals at Heroes and Villains.

    PRE-MATCH:

We're going to see a brilliant performance.
    From who?

Tempted to play Cash for all the crying they'll do.
We'll see who's crying later on.

I hate spurs i really do. They spanked us 4-0 at villa park. It would be great for once if we could not only win but absolutely humble them.
Might need to wait a little longer for that.

VDV is integral to how they defend, I fancy us if he isn't playing.
Have you heard of Radu the Romanian Rock though?

(Re Leon Bailey) I remember saying he was our Mo Salah.
Yeah and Timo Werner is our Franck Ribery.

Think they'll be more conservative and bench Maddison.
    For Sarr Sarr Toure.

Would be disappointing to lose this.
    Very.

Matty Cash to get the winner in injury time. Can you imagine?
I'd prefer a Matty Cash injury in the 60th minute, personally.

We're due to give someone a hammering soon: I can feel it.
    Not that soon though.

    FIRST HALF:

Udogie has four fouls already ref
Does what he wants, it's his Destiny.

    *0-1 Rogers*
    Our dominance finally pays off.
    Get in you ****ing beauty!
    Villa fans in full voice
    Yeah but for how long?

Tottenham haven't done anything of note
    Yet.

McGinn, unfortunately, making Buendia's display against Palace look like Zidane in the 2006 World Cup vs Brazil.
I had about five years of these performances with Harry Winks, mate.

I'm happy to lead at HT. There's more goals in this I think.
    Agreed, definitely more goals.

    Forgot Solanke was even playing
    He'll remind you soon enough.

    SECOND HALF:

    *1-1 Johnson*
Lame 1-1. No closing down at all
Thats okay, we don't do clean sheets in the league so we'll just score more
To be fair that was some cross
We can never seem to handle Son.
    Many rarely can...

    Dirty ****er Romero.
    He's a little Cuti really.

    Cash is done.
    Cash injured again.
Cash injured in one of his better games of the season! The soddest of sod's laws.
*Chef's kiss*, the ****iest of ****s, fully deserved.

    *2-1 Solanke*
    FFS.
I'm not suprised at all. Pure **** this 2nd half
Get your hand down Ezri, you're keeping him on man.
Ezri Konsa is a Spurs fan in fairness but he needs to be careful to not make it too obvious.

    *3-1 Solanke*
    Game over
    ****ing falling apart.
    Absolute **** show. Pathetic performance.
Solanke hadnt even had a shot on target all season had he?
Like waiting for a bus, eh?

After they lost Son and Romero we should have had the initiative.
We literally gave you free reign to have at us... embarrassing.

We forfeited the cup for nothing. Brilliant
Let that be a lesson to you; treat all cups with respect!

This really was a game we couldnt afford to lose and we have even with their best two cbs injured we somehow managed to not even challenge them
    Enter the Dragusin.

Bend over for spurs second half it appears.
Long may it continue, you kinky bastards.

This feels like an Everton forum
    ****ing BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    *4-1 Maddison*
Madders makes it 4. The twat.
    Oh just **** off.
    Lovely goal in fairness
That chav always scores against us
    Chavtastic.

    POST MATCH:

Sons team lose, villa get battered and im back to work tomorrow after a week off.
    Well technically, Son's team won.

1-8 in our last 2 games against these twats.
Let's make it 1-12 in May.

    An unhappy birthday for Unai
    So not a Gud Ebening?

No need to overreact. That was never a 4-1 game.
Well... I mean... It was, wasn't it?

Spurs seemed to have the measure of McGinn's arse.
    Spanked it.

Ange has schooled Emery in the last two league games

I think that Emery was too conservative and worked on trying to nullify us more than he did on them playing well.
McGinn playing right-wing and covering the fragile, scummy Cash worked well in the first half, but he was useless after the break.
MOTD2 focused on Postecoglou switching the fullbacks to go wide a lot more and it ****ed Villa's tactics completely.

I think they ballsed their subs up too, to be honest.
Carlos for Cash made them even more negative and then Duran for Rogers depleted their creativity almost entirely.
The triple on 81 minutes was to go 4-4-2 and attack down the wings, I think, but they were left without any supply to the wide men.

That is the away at WHL Emery ball.

I do not blame him, as recent four goal spankings
at the hand of Spurs at home means you are not
going to easily allow a similar outcome away.

We knew what to expect, and for 2.5 such games it
has proceeded on that basis. But as also stated,
sooner or later their luck was due to run out.

For anyone who did not see the game, it shows how :

    1. bad the service to him in attack was
    2. hard he was hassling the Villa back line

So IMHO his two goals are fair reward for the above

One thing I neglected to say before

Remember what felt like two years we were constantly linked with Pau Torres?

Really looks like we dodged a bullet there

Solanke is one seriously fit man! I've not seen his km total for the Villa game, but he didn't stop pressing the opposition back 4 and keeper for 100 minutes! <yikes>
He's shown that commitment pretty consistently, adding value to the team even in the games that have gone badly, but at least on Sunday he got some personal reward. <applause>
