I was sat near one of our fans (on Tuesday) who kept slipping in "He's one of our gnomes" into the Nick Barmby "He's one of our own" chant. Was it anyone from this board? He was probably in his mid 40's and his comments throughout the game were spot on. Always supportive with comments like "right idea" rather than "rubbish pass"...he kept saying (rightly) "play your passing game City". He was really vocal and it made a nice change to sit near someone positive (he moaned once at 1-0 when "we don't lose away" started up, he said something like "don't tempt fate"). "He's one of our gnomes" is quality!
Should we be drawing attention to the fact as teams seems to be working it out already. Nugent and Beckford for 65 minutes then Howard to come on. That worries me.
The names of Ken Dodds Diddy men. Dicky Mint, Mick the Marmalizer, Stephen "Titch" Doyle, Little Evan, Hamish McDiddy, Nigel Ponsonby-Smallpiece, Nicky Nugget, Sid Short and Smarty Arty. A couple of them fit perfectly.
