Can't say I give much of a **** what they do, this is more amused curiosity on which completely unsuitable candidate they elect as president. How can Trump even be allowed to run again? Let alone have his party think he's in any way the best candidate. Equally, the democrats would have allowed Biden to run again if it hadn't been pointed out by someone (the whole ****ing world tbh) that he is suffering from clear dementia and is now barely fit to wipe his own arse, let alone 'run' a nation of America's magnitude. Not sure about Harris, I haven't been arsed to look into her, but she can't be up to much if she is merely a stand in for Biden. It doesn't really concern me, as @Sucky correctly pointed out, having Trump in last time has zero affect on me and having him back will have very little effect now. I'm more interested in what out current incumbents are doing with our own country. This is just a circus.
Have you ever noticed that Piskie can't let something go, he always has to have the last comment. I think he see's me as his replacement for HiaG, he could never let hiag have the last word lol.
When I was young coming from a Christian family where my mum and nan were quite religious, especially my nan, I was against abortion, but as I got older my view changed from any religious stance, because I realise life is not as simple as people like to portray it sometimes. So I would never ever vote for anyone knowingly that was anti abortion, nor would I vote for any councillor with similar stance, that's how strong I feel about it. Tbph I don't know what Trumps view is, but not being American it's not something I need to bother myself with.
I think it has an effect beyond the US and around the world Trump gets in, he'll impose tariffs on goods imported into the US, that affects economies and currency value around the world. He'll also throw Ukraine under a bus. That will signal to China that they can invade Taiwan and the west won't interfere. That puts the whole Asia-Pacific equation into question. He's also likely to try and change the rules around elections to ensure that he can't get disposed.
You could have had the last word if you'd answered my question about how you put Trump in jail without going through the courts
It is a complete and utter circus, I agree, I just laugh at it, you can do nothing else, well other than to completely ignore it all. In regards to Kamala, how did she go from nothing to being hours away from a possibility of being President, a so called 'black woman' who flipped burgers to earn money, in a poor neighbourhood. Well she had a relationship with a guy much her senior, not me judging that, but I'd say her relationships were pretty powerful, I'll let you fill in the gaps.
I think he's said he'd leave it to individual states to decide. But the Rowe v Wade overturn was significant for a lot of women in America because it meant that they could no longer access abortion services. I think in some states, the republican law makers are so Anti Abortion that they will (if not already) ban it outright, even in cases of rape or incest. The issue is nuanced. Personally I think women should have body autonomy and decide whether they carry a baby and give birth to a new life. But I also take the point of those that say an embryo is also a life and should be protected. I think people pull Trump up on it because he comes out with **** like the Dems want to execute babies after the 9 months of pregnancy
But you haven't put him in jail that's my point, no point the process being there if he becomes president, because he won't be going to jail, so has got away with it. My point was that by chasing him, the whole world may have to suffer this raving fooking lunatic, all because you wanted justice. I'm sure all the people in Ukraine who lost their lives on the front line, will be thanking you, when Trump sides with Putin. Like I said, you really don't get it, not everything in life is black and white, at least if you have an objective, make sure it succeeds and that we all don't have to suffer as a consequnce of it.
He'll only get away with it if he abuses his executive powers to nullify the proceedings. That doesn't mean the courts shouldn't go after him for his criminal acts. Trump is a nutter, regardless of whether the courts are chasing him. And he'll cozy up to Putin regardless, because that's what he was doing during the 2016 election and beyond. You say, if you have an objective, then make sure it succeeds. But that is exactly why he's being pursued through the courts, to enact that objective. It would only fail through crooked means of his doing. But that is a separate issue to taking out those criminal proceedings in the first place.
Oh come on mate, what do you think he's going to do if he get's to power, of course he is going to abuse his powers, wake up ffs. If you was going to prosecute him, what was the hurry, why not wait, and I'm pretty sure he's not the only US President that should be in prison, it's just you don't like him, so nothing else matters. You don't give a shhite about the law, all this pretence you certainly don't come across to me on here as some almighty abider of the law. You've just got a beef about him, so chat shhite as a result. Plenty of people should be in jail, Trump, Putin, Netty, Blair, Bush, I could on but I don't see Putin or Netty going to prison anytime soon and no one would dare attempt it on Putin at the moment, so justice isn't seen to be done, only when people chose to. I bet Biden has done stuff he should be in prison for.
ffs Of course he'll abuse his powers. That doesn't mean the criminal law shouldn't apply to him and they just sweep it all under the rug. It's pointless trying to explain this to you for the umpteenth time
