Well if he was left to his own devices by juve I could understand a certain level of issue but he also has his own responsibility and has the experience of what to do to get a preseason routine in. Anyway, he's in and out and hopefully can do some work and give salah a 60minite rest in December to earn his wages before we off load him for a loss.
can't think of any though we haven't had many as far as i can remember ( though tbf my memory is very hit and miss )
Carvalho was unlucky as well, tbf. However, Fulham deserved to win from what I saw (second half only).
Has there been any Italian players or players coming direct from Serie A that have been a success for any top primer league team. I cant really think of any in the last 10-15 years only one that really comes to mind is Zola that might be close to 20 years ago!
Not sure how I forgot about those . Those are probably the most notable ones in the last ten years. Was thinking Bergkamp but couldn't remember where he transferred from. When you think Lukaku looks a beast playing in Serie A and a complete donkey playing in the premier league there does seem to be a big gulf in styles between the 2 leagues.
Do foreign lawyers coming to Italy and then being sold on really count? It's Italian nationals and their style. If they are good enough they don't want to leave. You can count the players on one hand Vialli Zola Di canio Ravanelli Di matteo Some of those were never going to get a big Italian club and moved for that reason. One or two were on the way down Others such as balotelli or carbone or dossena or aquilani were not great. Chiesa is on the way down. Serious injuries and high wages have pushed him out of juve.
Not sure how many of these you count, but also Jorginho, Ogbonna, Emerson, Pelle (albeit he came from Feyenoord), Udogie and Darmian if you call him a success.
