Chelsea have looked off colour in a way we haven't seen for many years! Before yesterday I was thinking the worst for our December schedule, particularly this weekend. However, the announcement that AVB will keep his job at least til the end of the season,come what may, has transformed the mentality of the squad. I cant help thinking JT and the boys will come out, ready to die on the hill for the right result, and get us back to winning ways again. We were not focused...but now we are... in a very big way!
I've gone for Chelsea because the dark horse has been seen and even worse Merson and Lawrenson think we'll draw. These arseholes have said we'll lose every game so far. To be honest I like the new Chelsea manager even if he sounds like a wrestler. AVP MVP what the **** is all this initial bollocks entering our game? you need 3 names ffs.
Extremely worried about the threat of Sturridge down our left hand side. Sammy Ameobi and Ryan Taylor defending against someone of Sturridge's quality is giving me nightmares already if I'm honest. If Sammy can have a go at Ivanovic hopefully he can stop him getting up to support. As for Mata, hopefully if Simmo gets stuck in early on and lets him know he's in for a tough time that might help, although I'm not holding out too much hope on that one as Mata is class. Got one of those bad feelings. I think we'll score but I'm going to predict a draw at best, but probably a loss. I'll say 2-2 in an attempt to be optimistic.
Make no mistake this is going to be a very tough game despite Chelsea not being in great form. I'd be happy with a draw and over the moon with a win, a loss would be disappointing but not the end of the world really. Will be intrigued to see what happens down our left flank now that Jonas is out of the team.
