yeah it seems obvious some are struggling that is why i was pleased with how well the subs performed .
Was so important to turn it around yesterday. I knew City would drop points as Pep virtually gave them permission to do so mid week with his post match interviews. It seems city and arsenal are feeling a bit sorry for themselves so imperative we keep winning whilst they have their poor spell.
Tbf, I was expecting City to win and go 8 points ahead of Arsenal. In which case I would have stood by my claim - there's no way I see Arsenal clawing that back. Obviously I'm happy City lost.
When someone is down you can give them a hand back up or stamp on their head. In life you do one thing. In competitive sport you do another. Now is the time to absolutely hammer that lead as much as possible before these clubs get themselves together. We are still playing for cl qualification though, we are fighting hard through this busy period but it's taking it out of players as we go. 8-1-1 is title winning form that heads towards 95 points. We won't be getting that but we are making great progress. Our last 10 games are tough. You'd want a large lead there.
Yeah, anyone can put a long run together once they get it together. Arsenal's problems imo stem from injury and poor decision making. Imo they were at their best 2 seasons ago with Jesus between martinelli and saka. Zinchenko at the back. Right now Jesus is never fit. Zinchenko isn't fit and isn't trusted by arteta. (3 goes at replacing him) and odengard is out. They have imo not improved with massive money spent. I still think havertz was the wrong player for massive money and it shows at times. (Far better than he was at Chelsea mind) Timber, califiori and others are all nice to haves but not one has improved on white saliba Gabriel zinchenko. Rice is on his own and merino also got injured. Martinelli is out of form a bit and was injured too. Trossard with due respect is not at the level bit better than Nelson. I just think thry have bought too many players they don't really need or don't really fit so now there's injuries they look like they are all over the place. The one thing we can say about our recruitment is that players slot in and out of the set up as needed even if there not enough money to have the real quality.
Absolutely. But we did it before and arsenal have once I think any dreamers out there need to be looking for us to establish a big lead now. Which includes beating city imo
Exactly, that's why I said Arsenal would be out of it if they went 8 behind City. 5 is doable possibly - but even that would require City to stumble a lot more than they generally do. Anything is possible, but not many things are likely.
The hope is teams take a leaf out of Bournemouths book - take them on, they’re vulnerable at the back. Sit back and you’re just waiting to be beat
They always have been - same as us under Klopp. But like with us, it's risky to go at them because they can hurt you so quickly on the break. I still agree that that's the way to play them though, sitting back and soaking up pressure isn't good, because they usually find a way through eventually.
City have won the title off us having gone behind in the key game twice and honestly their biggest attitude after cheating is never giving up. They have done a job that prior managers of city simply couldn't in terms of sustaining things. Guardiola has one cl over 7 years with unlimited funds while real have 3/4? That shows he isn't doing everything right but when you look at the team he has dias, haaland? Gvardiol? Stones? That's a man who's adapted to England first and foremost. #tallmen in thr right postions
I cannot recall a weekend where everything went our way like that. City, Arsenal, Villa, Chelsea plus Utd and Everton for the cherry on top. Great weekend.
You lot sitting pretty right now. Definitely don't need the distraction of the league cup this season so should prob stick you're under 12's out.
