Love to see a reform of the rules where that’s not a penalty. Attackers running onto the ball in the box don’t even want to take a shot they just want to knock it wide and play for a penalty off a soft touch from the keeper. Ridiculous
Once the penna has been given a goalie should be told to stay on his line instead of this gamesmanship. Otherwise you should be legally allowed to taser them. Ref puts the ball on the spot and thats it. Any players encroach in the 18 yard box book them, send them off or taser them fkrs as well.

IMO it’s the common sense approach, yes it’s high but there’s no malice and it’s not a red. The problem is that’s given as a red most of the time. The rules are all over the place at the minute. Just because you make contact with a player it doesn’t mean it should be a free kick, nor should every single “studs up” incident be a red card. But when that’s the standard you set every week it becomes expected.
If that's not a red then neither is Jobes. There was no malice in Jobes but rightly he saw red, same as today Martin's should have seen red and is was, if anything worse as it went down Palmers leg
