He is a magnificent player. Proper gem. Nice to see we finally got one right after many, many duds.

    Well that was FUN :1980_boogie_down:
The VAR at 90 was tense, but ended up being FUN too
Bedders was sure he was offside so no need to worry
Ramsdale, KWP, Lallana, Dibling were quality
    Bedders and THB generally good
Thought Archer & Aribo had decent games with some glitches
Subs were good, Suga on and KWP. Worked well
Flynn improved 2nd half, not great 1st
We’re getting close to knowing our best team and subs
Need BBD, Cornet & Lesley to improve to give us options
No one was truly bad although we should bin the Stephens, Manning, Adarma partnership on the left

We’ll done Libby, more FUN please
    We’re going to Wolves

Did you see what happened at the front resulting in someone getting ejected? I saw them try and drag him out and him throw the stewards down the stairs but didn't see what led to it.

I think it was an Everton fan being ejected.

Agree the CB should be on bench and not left back.

Manning was truely woeful, offers no threat going forward and doesn’t even contribute with any defensive work rate.

Deserved win, I thought we were the better team for long spells, even if we didn’t create clear chances and we actually created some opportunities playing through Evertons press a couple of times.

Lallana went off as a precaution because he felt his groyne apparently. So probably won’t see him again until after the international break.
Just seen Tarkowskis yellow again. That could easily have been a red! Haven’t seen a replay of the Bedders yellow yet, but at the game I thought there was a covering defender, which I assume VAR agreed.

Yeah it looked from my seat that the covering defender (THB?) was easily getting there.

Didn't think Tarkowski's was a red though loads were calling for it.

On Manning - I think I said on the City Fred - I was confused that people were praising him for that game - from the stadium he was at least a second in thought and ability behind everyone else (which included even our own players) - he wasn't awful, but his passes were always a yard short, he spotted very little and his touch was Championship at best. It was a bit frustrating that people were lauding him for being not absolutely dire.

    He's nowhere near good enough.

I didn’t think anything of it at the game. Maybe the replay makes it look worse. He was late, came through the back of Archer and used excessive force. If Archers leg was planted could easily have been a bad one.

I think he'd done alright defensively since coming in but I think you make a good point that it's probably in comparison to expectations.

I thought he was very poor today tbh. Definitely not up to this level.

Wonder if it’s just that people have a low bar for him and we don’t have a stand out LB. But yeah, he wasn’t really good enough for a top championship team, and miles off being a PL level player. I feel the same about Armstrong too tbh, even though he scored today.

Young's bopping of FUNandes with the ball in the face was also a bit naughty, even if FUNandes's reaction was excessive.

Yep. He's not even good enough as a LB, let alone as a LWB.

It's one of my pet hates, when a FB gets pushed forward and is asked to be a WB. They are not inter-changeable roles. Now sure, some players can play both well, but generally not. A WB needs to be quick, they need to be a danger in the opposition half.

It seems to be one of the reasons why Wolves have struggled defensively. The likes of Semedo and Ait-Nouri are more WBs than FBs, but too often O'Neill has been playing a back four and asking them both to play FB.

Will also say that I'm glad they started with DCL and not Beto. I think the latter is a better striker.

Yeah I said earlier that Armstrong showed good work rate today and took his goal well but it's very obvious how far off the required standard he is.

He’s a bit of an odd one. He looks to have the tools to be great, but his record is woeful. Clearly don’t watch him too much but I asked my Everton mate and he reckons he’s one of the worst strikers he’s seen for them. He also cries all the time (was in tears today at full time) which is pretty funny
