Only one team wanted to play football. Rooney basically gave this game up. No intention of trying to win.
Bit disappointing that the new lad missed the second half for a beer with his mates. Surely he could have waited until full time. Typical uncommitted loan signing.
Well, a 3-0 win, Plymouth had no shots at all, no corners, hardly any possession. We dominated throughout. Puts us 2nd place. All in all a very good day at the office.
We would be a few points clear if Aaronson didn't miss that sitter against Pompy and Joseph and Soloman didn't miss that sitter or didn't slip against Burney. Lots of players you could blame not just one.
Though I agree (and the one that went straight through him v Portsmouth) but if Gnonto had scored the one cleared off the line, if Joseph hadn’t missed three sitters we’d also be top.
Strikers always miss chances, Haaland missed one today. I could pick out failed attempts at saves by Meslier or his laughable attempt to save a penalty, previous to the Sunderland game, I didn’t as I accept keepers make mistakes too but that gifted goal to Sunderland was off the scale.
One cleared off the line, turn it around and you could say excellent defending, Joseph has missed chances, all players do but as I said in the previous post, the Sunderland mistake was another level
Boring! Roughly 1/6 odds today, similar to the 3-0 against Rotherham last season. Man City of the Champ (the old, not the type that loses at Bournemouth) 3 pts is 3 pts though
