Tim is so predictable. You could have predicted our substitutions when the starting line up was announced (bar Jarvis for Kamara). Most of our passes in defence are telegraphed, we then get frustrated and try something daft which gives the ball away. We are not physical enough as a team and regularly get bullied by bigger opponents, then get frustrated and give stupid fouls away. Our goal keeper has more possession than almost all the outfield players. We rarely, if ever, change our style of play, even when it's not working. Our throw-ins and set pieces are awful and our passing is often poor. We rarely give strategic fouls to break up attacks like our more street wise opponents do. What do we practice in training? I never boo our players but I can understand why people get frustrated and Tim, one piece of advice, the fans will be here long after you are gone, if you want more vocal support, ask nicely and give us something to cheer. Rant over

We seemed to win regularly at home under Adkins - also the promotion from League 1 season. Since then it has been a bit of a struggle to say the least

This is what really boiled my piss today.

I got so frustrated last season when people said Rosenior only had one plan, sure we had a way of playing but he was regularly tweaking positions and tactics when things weren’t working. Didn’t always pay off but he gave it a go.

This geezer today, **** me nothing changed at all in the second half (other than a few like for like subs). The only change was a brief moment when Pandur clubbed it long, I think that was to quell the boos from the crowd.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and again and expecting a different outcome. That was our second half today and it was incredibly worrying.

Also there is no variation in our play. Play a quick goal kick over the top and next goal kick they will move back 10 yards.

    Quite right too Timmy

Can’t believe people on here moaning.

There should have been a noisy cauldron of exuberance, as is befitting of our football philosophy.

I was particularly enamoured by our refusal to change tactics regardless of what the opposition did.

That’s to be applauded instead of all this ‘woe is me, we ought to try and score more goals than the opposition’ nonsense.

I don’t think some of you realise how lucky we are to have him.

I thought we were all keeping quiet so Tim could get his instructions across to the players. The semaphore didn't seem to be working.

That's what I'm not getting about that interview.

He's blowing his nappa on the touchline for 90 mins like an unhinged ****ing orchestra conductor then digging out the crowd for not being supportive enough.

Maybe lead by example Tim as opposed to looking a tw*t?

I wish @M88 EVN and @Howdentiger2 would elaborate about what’s going on behind the scenes, or what they’ve heard.

    That's the weird thing.
I thought the whole idea of this playing around at the back is to draw the press so that there's then acres of space in the middle third between their high press and their defence? They were pressing high with 5 of theirs. So by that theory, there should have been this 'acres of space' to play through or over them. Yet we didn't. All we did was get pressed into problems or play it eventually out to the flanks only for their full backs to beat our wide men to the ball a lot of the time (especially 2nd half). Even though they're bottom of the division.
So, either it doesn't work, or we're not capable of doing it? One factor I guess is that, as good as Panda was with this saves, his distribution ain't great and isn't helping. but it's way more than that.
But we just keep on doing it.
    Am I missing something?

Hard to disagree. That second half performance was woeful. As was the last 10 minutes of the first half. He should have made changes at half time.

However if players are downing tools because they don’t agree with Walter’s style then **** them too. They are paid exceptionally well for what they do and should get on with their job.

Having said all of that. This is not the heart attack football we were promised. It’s the same impotent no end product as Rosieball. Both forms of football are drab to watch, the only difference is that Roseniors ****ing around at the back seemed to have fewer risks per game.

Acun should act now. The season is still salvagable.

I don’t think anyone’s downing tools, they just look like a disorganised bunch of individuals, both in attack and defence. Although he has got the defending players working together as a unit a bit more over the last few games.

I thought that last game but they looked all over the shop today
    Coyle drifting way inside
Jones way out on the wing
    Drameh…sitting down

Acun’s as much to blame as Tim, he was late sorting transfers out because he was with fenerbache and he didn’t deliver on a striker again.
Tim can have a pop at the fans but we’ve won 3 at home in 2024, the fans are still doing their bit by turning up and paying their money. The next bit is upto Tim and the team to give the fans something to cheer about
