    FT 4-3

More red flags in that performance than you’d see at a Grand Prix.

What has happened to Mannion, for starters ? Shocking goalkeeping.

The one positive is that nobody - apart from ITTV’s Mundell & Charles Hawtrey, will draw any bogus conclusions from beating a non league team in such an unconvincing manner.

Stand by for the interview with Nathan Jones when he says he’s “raging”

Some of the defending is what you would see on a Sunday morning.

    Classic from Seriously Boring.
Great result in the end. Obviously should have closed the game out in normal time but we're through.

The draw is tomorrow evening - anybody at home and a good chance of a decent 3rd round game.

Good to see four different scorers - long may they continue, starting next Saturday.

I was listening to Radio Essex so Southend commentary. They were loving how our defense panicked whenever they launched high balls in. Sounds like the sort of hopeful balls that any team of professional footballers should cope with easily, but I'll wait for Dick to comment.

The defence was a shambles. My mate who is a Southend supporter couldn’t believe how bad we were. We panicked every time they put the ball into our box. It was like watching the defence of last season. It always looked like we were going to concede.

By rights Southend should have earned themselves a re-play at the Valley.

Only the casual discarding this season of decades of FA Cup tradition denied them that opportunity.
I expect even the extra time will be binned after a few seasons.
FA Cup games will go straight to penalties after 90 minutes.

Leaburn is our only top quality player. Zach Mitchell had a tough game against a tricky winger but handled it well. We had 2 good passages of play on the deck with neither resulting in a goal

The pusillanimous deposed CAST chair - person is now claiming that “the end of November” is the time to judge & make decisions :emoticon-0136-giggl

If only he would refrain from repeating the near identical post every day until then.

I have just ordered 3 various numbers from a kebab shop here in Gran Canaria.
All questions answered with ease, and taken 5 minutes in total to wrap up.
Ridiculous would still be looking at the xg on the offerings.

The usual handful claiming “four goals is encouraging” are the same ones who say you can’t draw any conclusions from throwing away a two goal lead against a non league team.

Perhaps we need xG for certain fans consistency & logic ?

    Recruitment of players
    Style of football
    Results

All average at best under Nathan Jones.

I have no doubt the budget is crap & Methven embellished things over the summer thanks to Dubai Addick & Reams, but when you squander meagre resources on Hylton (topping up his pension) and Potts (already injured) it’s starting to look like Jones is using our club for mate’s rates.
