During the Friday night match the commentators stated that you won't win promotion based on too many draws and you only have to look at our recent home games to see what was meant. However we have just gone up 3-1 and hopefully the full three points.
A thoroughly competent win at a difficult away spot and despite the "hand of god" goal we were in control even when they scored to make it 1-1. Yu looks to be a great acquisition and if only we could find someone to help him I think he will become a top class player that will attract attention in January. Our injuries are piling up and full praise to everyone out there today who played their individual part. Now we have to up the ante at Ashton Gate as we should be getting 60% of our points from our home games and right now we aren't close to that vital statistic but from what I saw on display today we are more than capable of more home victories. Well done to all and a special thought goes out to Liam Manning after a wonderful result.
Shame Bird missed the earlier chance 1-4 would have been amazing. Only joking cracking performance, well done lads. Couldn’t find a stream so unable to watch, seen the goals though. COYR
He’s not our player till January Mike. Agree though, I liked him as soon as I saw him, & quickly becoming my favourite player. Seems to be involved in all our threatening forward play, he has great vision, love the back heal(ish) for the Bird goal.
Thought Sykes had his best game for us this season. Impressed with my first look at McGuane and really pleased that Dickie is back, he's a massive difference for us in both boxes. Our 2nd and particularly our 3rd goals were brilliant.
I’ve been a fan of Max, but he’s starting to make rather too many mistakes, we do need someone to challenge his position. Their goal was poor, he never should have been beaten like he was.
Great result. Well done Liam and the lads. VERY dodgy first goal (blatant handball) but backed it up with 2 more. Made my son even happier on his wedding day!!
Hirakawa reminds me of Massengo but actually having the skills to back up his fancy work across the pitch. There are some players that come along from time to time who have the mental capacity to accurately read the game and therefore be a step or two ahead of their rivals and I would rate Yu as one of those are players. He has every attribute to be a top player and I only hope we extend whatever deal he has going with us to keep him here for much longer. He is clearly enjoying his playing time and there is absolutely no doubt that our fans feel much the same. Nice to see such a player perform his craft.
No complaints match thingy tomorrow, to add to a whole load of crapness for today even managed to lose match tickets for Portsmouth next week kin hell
Wells for me since the new strikers have arrived has given himself a poke up backside-playing well because he has competition. Does look a different player long may it continue.
Like I said, you only judge him on goals. I bet he’s a pain in the arse to defend against with his backing in to win headers that he won’t win but puts them of their track. He a master of dark arts. The way the younger players look up to him. Tommy Conway says it was Nahki that helped get him going.
