Onto Deepdale a ground steeped in history -well worth a visit to the museum

    Saturday 1st November 2024 3-00pm

Another tough game against a side that seems to be drawing a lot of games just like ourselves.
The benefit we have is they played and lost last night 0-3 to Arsenal which should favour us.

I do fancy us to win this one 1-2 and three points coming back to Bristol. We lost on our last visit 2-0 on the 13th Jan 2024 at Deepdale.

We really need to start taking more points from games- draws are not going to get us up the table.

We sit two points above Preston at this stage of the season-so a win for them would take them above us and three points to us would give us a 5 point buffer.

I really would like to see us start two upfront and see what difference it makes-we need to start scoring goals and I'm sure Liam Manning must be thinking off trying it.

For me give Armstrong and Wells ago and see what happens.

If his recovery time for the last injury he had , is an indication of how quickly he recovers from injuries, he’ll be back in a relatively short time. His last recovery was nothing short of miraculous.

Sometimes a player gets injured more often due to the type of game they play and McCrorie might just be one of them. Whatever the reason we need him to make a full recovery before he plays a full part again, as a quick return can be a trigger for a new time on the treatment table.

His previous time off was due to a viral infection wasn’t it, and he recovered far quicker than they expected, they thought it would be this season before he’d be ready, but he returned at the end of last season.

My son is getting married this weekend - to a woman just as difficult as his mother (God help him!!)
I’ll be sat in the corner trying to be inconspicuous, quietly drinking my beer and watching the score…….

Surely not, Dickie has to be at CB next to Zak, with Tanner and Sykes as Full backs. Anything else is madness, the sort of poor selections and formations we saw under Nige

In midfield maybe? Does seem odd, so maybe it’s 3 CBs and 2 wing backs?

I’d think the back line would be
Back three Vyner McNally, Dickie, with Tanner RWB, and Sykes LWB, maybe Tanner and or Sykes RWB, with Tanner on the left

Not ideal, but we’re short of a left sided full back.
