V V Onto Deepdale a ground steeped in history -well worth a visit to the museum Saturday 1st November 2024 3-00pm Another tough game against a side that seems to be drawing a lot of games just like ourselves. The benefit we have is they played and lost last night 0-3 to Arsenal which should favour us. I do fancy us to win this one 1-2 and three points coming back to Bristol. We lost on our last visit 2-0 on the 13th Jan 2024 at Deepdale. We really need to start taking more points from games- draws are not going to get us up the table. We sit two points above Preston at this stage of the season-so a win for them would take them above us and three points to us would give us a 5 point buffer. I really would like to see us start two upfront and see what difference it makes-we need to start scoring goals and I'm sure Liam Manning must be thinking off trying it. For me give Armstrong and Wells ago and see what happens.
Chris Hogg on McCrorie injury, Bristol City adaptability and Heckingbottom in Preston preview Ross McCrorie ruled out with 'mid-term' injury as Chris Hogg looks ahead to Preston clash at Deepdale. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...ws/chris-hogg-mccrorie-injury-bristol-9676237
Afternoon folks, will be tomorrow before I do my thing for the game, the joy of playing Wednesday night blogs on Thursday
If his recovery time for the last injury he had , is an indication of how quickly he recovers from injuries, he’ll be back in a relatively short time. His last recovery was nothing short of miraculous.
Sometimes a player gets injured more often due to the type of game they play and McCrorie might just be one of them. Whatever the reason we need him to make a full recovery before he plays a full part again, as a quick return can be a trigger for a new time on the treatment table.
His previous time off was due to a viral infection wasn’t it, and he recovered far quicker than they expected, they thought it would be this season before he’d be ready, but he returned at the end of last season.
My son is getting married this weekend - to a woman just as difficult as his mother (God help him!!) I’ll be sat in the corner trying to be inconspicuous, quietly drinking my beer and watching the score…….
R&W Bu**er the City score, there will be umpteen more PNE days. Enjoy your family and hope you all have a happy and memorable day together.
I echo RP thinking, just be yourself, enjoy your family and let it rip, I personally wish you all a fabulous day.
we really need a result today looks to be close on last handful of results need a couple quick goals me thinks! ...............
We aren’t doing well away from home are we, hopefully we’ll get a point, can’t see any better, hope I’m wrong.
Surely not, Dickie has to be at CB next to Zak, with Tanner and Sykes as Full backs. Anything else is madness, the sort of poor selections and formations we saw under Nige
away team, Bristol City Manager: Liam Manning Formation: 3 - 4 - 2 - 1 Pitch Formation 1, O'Leary, Goalkeeper 1 O'Leary 19, Tanner, Defender 19 Tanner 14, Vyner, Defender 14 Vyner 15, McNally, Defender 15 McNally 16, Dickie, Midfielder 16 Dickie 17, Sykes, Midfielder 17 Sykes 12, Knight, Midfielder 12 Knight 8, Williams, Midfielder 8 Williams 7, Hirakawa, Attacking Midfielder 7 Hirakawa 6, Bird, Attacking Midfielder 6 Bird 21, Wells, Striker 21 Wells https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c2l90n1e5zet
I’d think the back line would be Back three Vyner McNally, Dickie, with Tanner RWB, and Sykes LWB, maybe Tanner and or Sykes RWB, with Tanner on the left
