I don’t think we made a mistake letting him play somewhere else. He tends to be a sub for them too, and he’s scored against a ten man Ludogrets, just to give it some perspective.
Good comeback from Coventry, but they never deserved to be 2-0 down in the first place. Been the dominant side throughout the game. Edwards must be under pressure at Luton?
Others might know this but I didn’t so I thought I would share a story about Dave Bassett and his sacking from Watford, when Elton John was chairman. He was expecting to be sacked and when Elton phoned him and asked if he could go to a director’s house for a chat he knew his time was up. When he arrived he was greeted with a drink and a big cushion in the shape of a dice. He was told that if he threw 1-5 he would be sacked. On asking what would happen if he threw a 6, he was told “You throw again.” He was sacked that evening but stayed drinking until 4 in the morning and said it was the best sacking he had ever had.
This is the winner for Sheffield Wednesday at Pompey last night. It’s a cracker. https://youtube.com/shorts/vwhzzOx79vc?si=XoSZ5Wo3J2pKCEYq
Fair play to Ruben Selles Cropping it off at 11th for no real reason... please log in to view this image
He is a very decent bloke. Genuinely has the potential to be a good manager. But it was insane for us to give him the job tbh.
So Real Madrid threw their toys out of the pram because they "learned that Vinicius Jr was going to be beaten to the Ballon d'Or" and decided to boycott the ceremony. First of all, Rodri is a deserving winner. Incredible player. Second of all, grow the **** up - the world doesn't revolve around Real Madrid.
Meghoma played 70 minutes for Brentford last night. Be interesting to find out how he got on given our continued struggles at LB.
The Solskjaer arc for Van Nistelrooy begins Ruud van Nistelrooy has reminded us all who he is and I would imagine that the next time that a job comes up in the Premier League or Championship he would be high on the list. When he walked out of the tunnel at the start of the game, he looked the part. At times Erik ten Hag didn't look the part. If you are in a dressing room and Van Nistelrooy is giving you instructions you sit up and take notice, and at times with Ten Hag didn't look like a credible personality that could convince. The package with Ten Hag didn't really work and at least Van Nistelrooy has the appearance and the presence.
Goal shouldn’t have counted. Keeper was fouled and Tamworth player either punched the keeper or punched the ball.
Nah. Keeper punched the ball into his own net under fair pressure. Keepers have long been over-protected.
