Now they're saying West Brom scored 'against the run of play' ... ... Luton didn't have a run of play, they were terrible and deserved nothing. That was absolutely rotten from both sides and I don't believe Maja intended that as a shot.
It was the same against us, Luton have had most of the ball but they haven't created any clear cut chances. It's not like the WBA keeper is pulling off worldies or they are getting cleared off the line. Corberan has definitely watched our game against them. Just need to wait for their crowd to turn now. If Luton lose this, it wouldn't surprise me to see Edwards get the bullet tomorrow
This is what has annoyed me about the praise they are getting for how they played against us. They have been praised for how they played in the first half against us in particular but we had the better chances in that half. Because of their style of play they often win the territory battle and people mistake that for being dominant or having a lot of chances, when really it's a lot of chaos relying on winning the 2nd balls. Territory does not equal dominance.
We had more shots, possession and corners than Watford but didn't deserve to win any more than they did. That's football and any non-league team can keep flinging balls into the box. Luton are a wealthy ex-PL club who spent in the transfer window ... ... they're not a plucky little club, like Oxford, who've come from League One ffs.
Dreadful goal to concede ... ...'stunning strike' ffs That score will do me nicely, two goals scored against terrible defending. I really hope there's a mass punch up at the end.
