Yes, but are you calling him a lair though? He says we didn't interview him or make an offer. We hear he went to West ham for direct talks. Do we know that actually happened? After that we know lfc offered the job to one man and that one man confirmed it before the club did.
Players, managers, agents, clubs, etc lie all the time, they're protecting their interests. As I said above, Almorin as more reason to "lie" about it than the club. Make your own mind up...
Be interesting to see what he does at Man Utd; decent exciting manager but that club is rotten to the core
I liked the look of Amorim when we were linked with him, based on not very much really. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the league. His style was thought to be too rigid and too big a change from what was already working for us. He has a massive task at utd that involves much more than imposing a style of play.
He will do well I reckon IF he doesn’t - which again I think he will - they are in big trouble because they will have tried everything pinpointing the issues if this fails will be difficult imho
Given the number of managers they've already gone through with minimal success, I'd suggest the problems lie elsewhere.
It was just my suspicion (based on the turnaround of managers) that the problem was elsewhere. I can't say where the problems lie, so I can't say whether or not the changes will address them. Though you'd think that if everything elsewhere was now sorted, then ten Hag could have fared better. Who knows? It's all guesswork, but I wouldn't live in hope/fear (depending on your pov) of any radical improvements until I saw them.
I think that's a sensible approach from Man Utd tbh, they've chucked big contracts at a few managers in recent years and had to pay big settlements to get rid. Agree though, it's a massive job.
