Unbelievable that we are still hearing about Truss crashing the economy after this debacle this week. To be honest we are all f****d anyway while these Blairites on both sides just target making everything a playground of big corp. Can't believe I am hearing Labour commentariat talking about this farm thing stopping monopolies and making big business pay their fair share when what they've done is put up policies that favour the big boys that can afford to soak up these costs. Most of these policies are ideology driven that target small, but headline worthy, benefactors of loopholes but they've completely ignored that pushing on with these policies is gonna end up hitting the very people they say they were trying to protect in the first place. Was surprised Labour didn't address the ridiculous child benefit inequality by not assessing total household income. Always seems a strange way to calculate, no matter which government is in the building. Surprised as many on here don't like inequality, but expect this may favour them so that's ok. Saying that, I may be getting the wrong end of the stick, not an area I'm overly familiar with, like I say just surprised people haven't complained on here about the way the system is bent.

Yeah, doesn't bother me as my 'child' is 34. However it is madness if I have this right, that a couple could earn £49,999 each and get child benefit (£99,998/yr household income) or one could be working part time for say £10k and the other earns £50k and they get nothing.
It's an anomaly that needs addressing I'm sure there's a number inequities that need attention I have more confidence in the new government to take action than I had in those since 2010.
