Great news for the lad.It would be great news for us to hear he's signed a longer contract than his present one, which I believe runs out next summer.
There will surely be no concerns regards the contract, he's been out for 13 months now, coupled with the likelihood of him not scoring 10 goals this season there will not be much interest. I imagine the club will extend his contract, he'll still be with us for the start of next season.
BB confirmed that he is in the U21 Squad for the game today. How many minutes does everyone think he will get? ******* Another Lie from BexleyBoy. Should never have believed it to be fair. Willett clobbered him, Leaburn was meant to be playing for the development squad on Saturday.
I wouldn’t bring back against dirty Leeds - isn’t there a vicars and nuns 11 we could test him against first ?
I just hope the club (greedy SMT) are putting all of their eggs in one basket with Leaburn. Based on how poor Godden & Ahadme have looked to date, I think they are.
As reported on here a few days ago, eat your heart out Reams. Nathan Jones has confirmed that Miles Leaburn will feature for Charlton's U21s at The Valley on Friday night. Leaburn recently returned to full team training at Sparrows Lane and will now pick up valuable match minutes for the young Addicks, who kick off their Premier League Cup campaign against Leeds United. Tickets for tomorrow's clash are still available to purchase - click here to get yours. Admission is priced at £3 for adults and £2 for O65s and U18s, while Valley Gold members and 2024/25 season-ticket holders go free.
I have a fan on ITTV. Dick Plumb called that Bang On to be fair. Let’s hope he comes through it with no issues
Reams is now calling out Willet for bullying Bexley Boy. Is this the same Bexley Boy that the Fat Controller regularly bullies? It really is Comedy Gold on there. Come and join us Willet. You are much too intelligent for that forum.
Willet & Clarky are both excellent posters, and both clearly have no time for Global. Come & join real Charlton fans lads
Rich Cawley reporting that the club have taken up the one year contract extension option. perhaps @Dick Plumb1 can post the link
Before his serious injury in 2023, I know the family were testing the water in terms of what the reaction would be if Leaburn were to leave us for the stripey Nigel’s. A poster with good contacts who used to post on Dicky’s forum told me that he had spoken to T.L about the likely reaction.
The club have triggered a one-year extension clause in Miles Leaburn’s contract, keeping him at Charlton until the summer of 2026. The 20-year-old joined the Addicks academy in 2019 and has scored 22 goals in 63 appearances for the men’s first team, including netting twice in Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Chelsea U21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. Technical Director Andy Scott said: “We had the option to trigger Miles’ one-year extension, he would have been out of contract this summer. In addition we’ve offered him a new contract. “Miles is a very talented player and has done really well since arriving into the men’s first team in the summer of 2022. He has fantastic technical ability and really good physical attributes, with his pace, height and power. Mentally he has shown his resilience to come back stronger from a very tough injury last season. “He will continue to learn and develop under the guidance of Nathan Jones and our staff – we were all really pleased to see him get back on the scoresheet on Tuesday.” The news means Leaburn is the latest academy graduate, aged 21 or under, contributing to the men's first team, who is under contract beyond the end of this season. Zach Mitchell signed a new, long-term contract with the Addicks earlier this month, following in the footsteps of fellow first-teamers Tyreece Campbell, Nathan Asiimwe, Daniel Kanu and Karoy Anderson, who have all penned long-term deals in the last 15 months.
