Well done, lads!! Great effort out there. Could have made it easier for ourselves, but a deserved win! Just pray that Micky is ok
Booossshhh. Villa, Brighton and Chelsea all out too. Should in theory make us around 3rd favs after Pool and Scum.
Yeah the Ange fan club here will say it’s a big win against the champions but City didn’t have Rodri, De Bruyne, Haaland or Ederson so I’m not getting carried away.
Want Brentford or Southampton at home and for Liverpool to play Arsenal would be nice. Don’t think Spurs can beat either of those two so need them to knock each other out and then Man Utd to beat the winner in the semi. Man Utd in the final is winnable.
Losing to Palace so that they could build up enough confidence to beat Villa away. please log in to view this image
Spurs - Southampton Pool - Scum Toon - Utd Palace - Brentford The ideal draw. So cue us getting Pool away.
Good win but so frustrating as we should have been home and dry in the 2nd half , don't care if some say it was city's 2nd team , they lost and it was down to Pep as he had the reinforcement on the bench
Decent performance, could and should have won by more, knocked out the favourites and expect to visit Anfield or the goons in the quarter final.
We also had key players out and lost further players to forced substitutions as the game progressed. Even a weakened City side contains players who we can only dream of having. Stones, Ake, Gundogan, Foden, Ortega - I'd take all of them in a heartbeat, and then to be able to bring on the likes of Bernardo, Gvardiol and Kovacic is similarly impressive.
Not entirely sure tbh. I think it might have just been tactical instead of enforced but we’ll probably find out tomorrow or Friday.
