The fact we are winning this game doesn’t disguise the fact that they have been so much better than us. We can’t get out at all. Two great goals from us though, so let’s hope we can have a repeat in the second half.

We’ve been clinical with two really well taken goals (Werner and well taken goal, what is happening?!) and City have thankfully been extremely wasteful prior to that last second goal, hopefully Haaland doesn’t come out at the second half.

Gray’s had a really torrid half, Nunes has had him on toast. I’d look at getting Porro on for the second half.

Excellent game so far...City are seriously good!
The ref is blind when it comes to Solanke being fouled.
Crowd really up for it as are both sets of players.

    This ain't ending 2-1 <yikes>

****. That was coming. Possibly one of the worst refs I’ve seen live.

we have to go long, they’re so high and ref can’t not keep letting Dias get away with murder for the whole match

Maybe the goal will be a blessing in disguise and Pep might hold Haaland and Silva back for a bit longer lol.

But lets not forget last time we were 2-0 up we lost 3-2 just saying!!

    Harsh on Gray.

Once again the midfield offer zero protection to the defence. It's one thing failing to do that when we're playing a high line, but to have ten men behind the ball and still fail to provide cover is unforgiveable. Bentancur just isn't good enough.

As soon as it became 2- 0 I was more worried than at 0-0

What does Bentancur actually do, other than amble around aimlessly?

This is a player supposedly in his 'prime', yet he contributes so little.

We need to keep the midfield aggressive. Having someone like Sarr who is a bit more robust than Madders helps. I wonder if we’ll see him subbed to not risk the second yellow, and see Gray and Bentancur together in the midfield with Porro at RB?

Offer an easy answer to the question "Who makes way if we take up the option on Johnny Cardoso next summer?"

    No.

I'm looking for what Rodrigo Bentancur brings to the team.

Bissouma for Sarr, likely protecting from the red card. Hopefully it helps us in midfield.

On his day he’s good but like most of the team, he’s partial to going awol often

He’s one of those who I think has a really high ceiling and on his day can run a midfield on his own. But when he’s off it, it’s really noticeable, especially his off the ball work.
